Thanks to WRISE Coastal South Carolina for providing educational and networking opportunities throughout the year, in addition to the WRISE Annual Summit. Our own Rachel Brown was able to learn more about domestic manufacturing in South Carolina that supports the sustainable energy industry. Origis is a proud member of Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE).
Thank you Nexans for hosting WRISE Coastal South Carolina this morning! Our fall event featured a plant tour of the only North American factory manufacturing high-voltage subsea cables that power offshore wind in US and global markets. We can't share all of the details, but Nexans produces cables that can withstand the dynamics of the sea floor (and marine life!). We closed with networking and a presentation about the Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE) organization to women leaders at the plant.
