    Meet Patrick Cairns, one of the early believers in Orum’s mission and a true embodiment of our startup spirit. His story is one that we’re incredibly proud to share because it's not just about where we've been but also about where we're headed together. “I always wanted to be on the ground floor of a startup,” Patrick says. “When my time comes to move on, I know I’ll go back and probably start my own. I just had to be part of this—working with folks like Jason and Karthik on a problem I deeply understood.” Having started his career as an SDR, making 100+ calls daily, Patrick felt the pain of low connect rates. He knew he had to be involved when he saw Orum's solution. “We needed more conversations, and there wasn’t an affordable tool out there that could do it... the second I saw what Orum was building, I had to be a part of it.” But like any great startup story, his reasons for staying evolved. Today, it’s about more than solving a problem—the culture and the team. “We’ve built a company that values integrity and hard work. It’s a place where I genuinely enjoy being around the people I work with.” Patrick’s journey has taken him through roles in sales, customer success, product, and beyond, and he has worn many hats (he jokingly called himself the “chief fun officer” in those early days). Now, he’s found his passion in CS, where he helps customers optimize Orum to reach their goals. And the future? Patrick believes it’s all about innovation. “The market is there for us to reach our next thousand customers, but launching innovative products that complement what we’ve built will truly slingshot us forward.
