Earlier this week, the Office of Catholic Schools welcomed back our more than 100 school administrators to kick off the 2024-25 school year. Our time together was a combination of prayer, business and fellowship focused on our theme for this year: I am the Vine and You are the Branches: Growing in Communion and Educating for Eternity. We are especially thankful to Bishop Earl K. Fernandes for celebrating the opening Mass, keynote speaker Fr. Paul Keller, O.P. for sharing with administrators "Why [They] Are Crucial to Catholic Education", and all of the other special guests and diocesan staff who took the the time to address our school leaders on various, important matters. We are excited to share that our scholarship granting organization, the Emmaus Road Scholarship Fund, has been certified by the Ohio Attorney General for a 4th consecutive year! Since December 2021, nearly $6 million has been generated through the SGO to make a Catholic education in the Diocese of Columbus affordable and accessible for all who desire it, resulting in scholarship awards for more than 3,500 of the 17,000+ students in Our Catholic Schools.
