It's no secret the Community Economy is a passion. This has been reflected through clients at HOXTON and working collaboratively with Olivia DeRamus, Founder and CEO of Communia. This article perfectly touches on why platforms like Communia are the future of social media. https://lnkd.in/eHiPdsSt Takeaways: ✨ It is imperative to create safe spaces for communities to thrive and users to engage with each other ✨ Community platforms bring value to their audience in a way that's enriching (ex: asking questions or journaling on Communia) ✨ Authentic Engagement is always key. Users are moving towards niche communities that align with their interests and values, seeking genuine connections over broad social networks.

Communia gets a lot of reviews that make me smile, though I wanted to share this one in particular (from a user signed up to our beta premium self care subscription) because of how she talked about Communia in relation to not being able to afford therapy anymore. Communia will never be a replacement for therapy, but we do fill a very important white space for what what happens in between therapy appointments, or as a self maintenance and exploratory tool when you can’t afford it. Communia also isn’t an emergency resource, but everyone deserves a support system that extends beyond emergencies, and can even help prevent them by nature of healthy connection. Whether that’s finding community in what you’re going through or activating joy through shared interests (part one of how we see social health), having a safe space to reflect further on what you learned in your therapy session using our private journaling tool, building your relationship with yourself through the entire self reflection half of the app (part two of how we see social health), or - like this user - finding daily guidance on topics like self-compassion, anxiety, and even things like mindful dating. #socialhealth #mentalhealth #socialmedia #womenshealth #digitalwellness

Exciting things have been happening behind the scenes lately and today I'm thrilled to announce the first set of them accompanied by this wonderful piece of coverage from TechCrunch: that Amrapali Gan, recent CEO of OnlyFans, is joining Communia as Strategic Partner and Growth Advisor! We started working together about a year ago and quickly bonded over our shared experiences building platforms that challenge conventions and prioritize user empowerment. She's joining us at a pivotal time as we're conducting our first institutional fundraise and starting work on what we believe to be the future of both sustainable social media and creator + consumer empowerment: the community economy. Amanda Silberling’s article touches on how I've felt passionately about taking time to make sure our social impact and financial opportunity align before heading into a growth stage. Now that we have that clear pathway set, I'm looking forward to growing our community of collaborators who are determined to build a better digital world for women and getting our app in the hands of everyone who needs us. Social media can, and should be, healthy. Check out the article here for more about our plans! https://lnkd.in/exmi4DrM

🎙 NEWS: Collaboration Announcement ⭐ The aura and aesthetic of Communia immediately attracted me to the business along with the energy and vision of its founder, Olivia DeRamus. I remember when we first met and immediately bonded over living in London our mutual concerns about the negative impacts of traditional social media on mental health. Enter Communia: a safe space to express yourself, build community, and make meaningful connections. There's a massive gap in the social landscape and Communia offers a refreshing alternative focused on women. I'm honored to collaborate with Olivia and Communia as a Strategic Partner and Growth Advisor to show how social media can promote positive engagement and well-being. The team is entering a new chapter focused on expansion and is conducting its first raise to support future plans. Read the full article here to learn more: https://lnkd.in/ePgCAxWP

A few photos from the Communia x Fiona Shea Wellness & Wine meetup we hosted in LA last week! I talk a lot about the serious issues Communia solves for on LinkedIn, but a huge aspect of our success to date has been the FUN we’re able to offer within our in-app experience and to our broader social community. It was awesome to bring that IRL stateside for the first time! New friends were made, Fiona’s community was deepened, and we discussed the importance of social health in living our best lives. Nights out included! This is just the start of some exciting community empowerment projects we have in the pipeline… watch this space. 👀 #socialhealth #community #socialmedia #socialnetwork #creatoreconomy #womenshealth

Thanks for the shout out Phoebe Dodds! Social media as it stands today causes too much harm, especially (and ironically) towards its largest user group - women. We’re helping instead. 💪💁♀️
