Expanding your goals will expand your comfort zone. Set those goals. All of them. Set them so incredibly high that people actually think you're INSANE. And then put it somewhere you see everyday. If you need, take the time to think of everything you could ever want, and write it down, and tape it to your forehead at night so it's the first thing you read when you wake up. Taking the steps to do so so will consequently decrease your inhibitions about the goals, and you'll see how everyday you'll take action and naturally align with the version of yourself who has already ACHIEVED all those things. Normalizing your goals will increase your confidence in attaining them !!!!! Daily goals? I personally write out all of them each morning in pen and paper so I can feel the satisfying SCRATCH when I cross it off later. Long term goals? Vision board as my computer background (IT WORKS I'VE BEEN DOING IT FOR YEARS). Lifestyle images and quotes I found through Pinterest are my favorite. Check out my current desktop below :) I was so happy when I got those red shoes ❤️ 👟

A few months back, in San Francisco, I had a blast with inspiring founders who I have supported and championed. I repeated this in New York City last week. Miri Buckland — It was hot and humid but nonetheless I thoroughly enjoyed our walk-n-talk. Hopefully it counted as training and a perfect warm up for your upcoming NYC Marathon fun. I'm excited to continue watching the Landing journey unfold and how you and Ellie Buckingham continue to inspire the next generation of artists and creators. Arjun Bhatnagar — It was super pleasing to see you back on your feet again. With seemingly the never ending continued news of multiple data breaches affecting millions of consumers, we all need Cloaked to continue protecting our personal identity everywhere. Joran Greef — Tigerstyle. All week long. Yet again, my distributed systems and database knowledge has gone up multifold just by being surrounded by you. Thanks for making time for me even in between the stress of putting on an event alongside the rest of Team TigerBeetle. Matt Pierri — What a coincidence about the name of the coffee spot being the same as an area from your hometown. I learned that whether disabled, elderly, pushing a pram or otherwise, more than 2.5 billion people worldwide already live with an accessibility need of some kind. Armed with that knowledge, Sociability is so so needed in our world. ...and even then too I still missed out on Tracy Chou, Aasiyah Abdulsalam, Ope Bukola, Abdel Mahmoud, MD, and Kaiwei Tang. Methinks there is enough there to start our own little local Dees-Supported-Founder-Network... (without me). Happy weekend, folks!

If you know me, you're likely aware I'm rarely without a snack!! That's why Claudia and I wanted to highlight some of our favorite brands in a #DTC Marketplace at Inside Summit. We're featuring past The Room Podcast companies such as Tea Drops, OLIPOP PBC, future guests like Unreal Snacks and Summit speakers like De Soi Sparkling Non-Alcoholic Apéritif! We have a few more spots on the shelf; I'd love some of my personal favs like SmartSweets, LesserEvil Brand Snack Co., Magic Spoon, and RXBAR. Can anyone help connect?! Also - which brands are we missing that should absolutely be featured? Emilie Gerber Tenaya Goldsen Ali Fortin JCP cc Landing Miri Buckland for the visual!!!

If you know me, you’ve probably heard about how excited I am about the team at Landing (shout out to Ellie Buckingham + Miri Buckland). As a refresher, Landing is Gen Z’s Pinterest, or as their community refers to them "if Pinterest and Canva had a baby." There have been 10M+ images uploaded and 2M+ boards created on Landing — everything from inspirational content and vision boards to fashion boards that enable you to discover, curate, and shop from your peers. In the realm of social commerce, Landing stands out due to its unique focus on fostering creative communities while also providing a platform for collaboration and sharing — shout out to Greta Bergin + Liz Friedland for all that you do on the community engagement side! Landing uniquely combines two critical ingredients for social commerce success: (1) content creation and (2) community engagement. This combination is critical as it allows for organic promotion and discovery of products and services within a trusted network of peers and influencers. Landing’s design encourages interactions that can seamlessly transition from inspiration to purchase. Here's a board that I created with one of the team’s weekly prompts (“my favorite things”): https://lnkd.in/eseuxdjp Landing’s emphasis on creativity and collaboration aligns well with current trends in social commerce, where trust, peer recommendations, and interactive experiences drive consumer behavior. With a robust content flywheel in motion on Landing, it’s been incredibly exciting to see how the team is leveraging the richness of their collages to unlock value for a more consumer persona. Each board is composed of items (products / images) that can be linked to your website (brand) or an affiliate link (creator). I believe that success in social commerce ultimately requires a multifaceted approach that combines engaging and seamless user experiences, trust-building measures, personalized interactions, strong community involvement, strategic influencer and brand partnerships, and continuous innovation. ✨ My ask for my LinkedIn community, do you know any founders or marketers at #GenZ fashion and beauty brands that want to explore the universe of social commerce (think Brandy Melville, DRUNK ELEPHANT, Glossier, Inc., Princess Polly, rhode skin)? If so, comment below, and I’ll put you in touch with the Landing Team! ✨ P.S. if you’re an immigrant founder based in NYC or in town for TECH WEEK by a16z, Miri is co-hosting the following dinner tomorrow night (6/4) with Unshackled Ventures: https://lu.ma/vss5nrss

Reimagining a Life-centered Future of Work 👀 Speaker, Team Workshops + Workplace Culture & Community Design / Prev. Design Community Programs @ Dropbox Design

For the past 5 weeks, Out Of Office Network hosted an online program to help a group of 11 wonderful life-centered leaders reimagine the way they work and live. We designed principles & rituals, looked at rhythms and models of work, collectively imaged what a more regenerative work/life might look like in 2050 and helped participants design their (work-)life manifestos. Rather than following a rigid curriculum, we decided to take an emergent and generative approach. We co-created, let participants bring in their personal practices, invited guests (Meryl Draper and Sarah J. Powell ✨) and created an oasis from everyday work, with no obligation, space to try things you otherwise wouldn't do, have conversations and ask big, difficult questions in the company of like-hearted people. In these 5 weeks, new personal scenario games (Lena Robinson) and tools to tap into our seasons and rituals (Sarah Jutras) were built, we discovered our ecological Archetypes (Molly Simpson), collectively sang, drummed and rediscovered our voices (Enid B.), shared heartfelt diary entries (helen lee), created beautiful collages & learned new tools to do so (Catherine Bianca Lima Wakim & Danielle Morris), co-imagined new metrics of success (Clare Seekins), and so so much more (Gilda Castro Rios, Alia Pialtos, Meghna Mann) Sarah Jutras shared some of her experience here: https://lnkd.in/dU3iTysy And with the collective consensus of needing a radical paradigm shift, Enid B. shared her thoughts on creating the future of work here: https://lnkd.in/dYVS92K2 So appreciate this very special group of humans and co-hosting this program with Dana Covit ✨ Excited to create more spaces and programs like this, in-person (in Italy this Sept wahoo) and in cyberspace 🌐
