Last night was a success! Seafood Nutrition Partnership hosted an Eating for Brain Health fundraising dinner at Erling Jensen The Restaurant in Memphis, Tennessee. In 2022, The White House recognized our commitment to develop Eating for Brain Health (EFBH) nutrition programs nationwide through 2030. EFBH nutrition programs work with local community organizations to educate and empower underserved populations to affordably incorporate seafood for a healthy diet. The Eating for Brain Health fundraising dinners garner local support, collaboration, and awareness of these programs in the communities in which they operate. SNP is excited to work with Church Health & YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South this October as part of National Seafood Month. Thank you to Linda Lai Cornish, MBA and Iona Yates for organizing and to all who attended last night's dinner! Many thanks to our generous sponsors: Erling Jensen Inland Foods Kvarøy Arctic Off The Dock Seafood Pacific Seafood Whitton Farms Jones Orchard Jenny Shea Rawn MS, MPH, RD Indu Bakery Morningside Brands, Inc. Pacific Seafood believes in investing in the development of our team members, like Melissa Moua who will graduate in just one year with her bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Arizona's Global Campus. Melissa started her journey with Pacific Seafood three years ago, working in production. In April, she was promoted to HR Coordinator while pursuing her degree! Melissa loved the flexibility the University of Arizona's Global Campus offered, especially after welcoming her son into the world. Congratulations, Melissa on all your accomplishments! You make us Proudly Pacific!

We want to thank our Pacific Seafood team members who helped pick up 3,274.9 lbs. of debris since World Oceans Day on June 8th! Every World Oceans Day, our team members are encouraged to pick plastics and debris at a nearby water source in effort to help keep our oceans clean while showing up for the communities where we live and serve.

For the first time in history, Pacific oyster shells now line one of the most prominent bays on the East Coast. In partnership with Madison Bay Seafood and Wittman Wharf Seafood in Maryland, Pacific Seafood contributed millions of Pacific oyster shell to the Chesapeake Bay as an effort to restore the local public oyster fishery. According our partners, most Chesapeake Bay oysters are exported out of the state, meaning most shell doesn't return. Oyster shells are necessary for spawning and growing new oysters! With the new addition of Pacific oyster shells, the Chesapeake Bay will see new oyster life within 18 months. Thank you Madison Bay Seafood and Wittman Wharf Seafood for funding this effort. We look forward to seeing new oyster growth within the bay!

Pacific Seafood believes in supporting the communities where we live and serve! Despite it being a rainy afternoon, our Newport Fish Peddler team members walked in the 65th annual Newport Loyalty Days & Sea Fair in Newport, Oregon this past weekend. Our team members did not disappoint, dressed head to toe in fish taco, crab, and shrimp costumes! The parade is all about supporting the Newport community and the numerous veterans and active duty military members who live there.
