At Molson Coors Beverage Company we believe in the power of creative effectiveness to drive growth. This is why we are so proud to share the recognition we received at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity last week winning a total of 2 Gold, 3 Silver and 3 Bronze Lions along with 7 Shortlists for our work. This also marks our first Gold Lion(s!) for Molson Coors so it’s particularly special for us. For context - out of 27,000 entrants only 10% get shortlisted. Only 3% award. Only 1% win a Gold. So needless to say our entire team is thrilled 🍻 As I reflect on learnings to get here there are a few that stand out: - The importance of persistence to build creative MUSCLE 💪 and stamina: our team has been taking swings for years…falling, learning and getting back out there. While we still have so much more to learn - It’s these swings that have made us stronger and have also developed our creative gut. So when we get a fun text at the airport asking ‘hey what if’ - we don’t hesitate. We take the first step that same day and then we figure it out along the way. Which leads me to… - The power of strong agency relationships: both of these ideas were led with our incredible partners at Rethink. Our teams genuinely trust, respect and like each other. We try to cut through the bull$hit and we work together to get to great (oh and we have some fun along the way). We aim to have these types of relationships with all our partners so I hope they feel the same way;) - A company that believes in creative effectiveness and the power of building our brands in culture. And I’m not just talking about our marketers. I’m talking about all of our cross-functional partners - legal, supply chain, sales, finance and on and on. Because guess what - Eric Kouri and team would not have been able to act so quickly to make the coors light commemorative cans and change our OOH signs in days without the support and belief from Maggie Miller on our legal team and field leaders like Allie M. who ran through walls to make it happen. Thank you to the entire team for the awesome work - how lucky are we to get to do what we do! Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the US. On June 19, 1865, in Galveston, TX, the last group of enslaved Black Americans learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Tomorrow marks 159 years since that day. Established as a federal holiday in 2021, Juneteenth honors this pivotal moment in history and celebrates Black culture and heritage. At Phaedon, we proudly observe Juneteenth as a company holiday, recognizing its significance in acknowledging and combating racism in America. I'm still reflecting on last week's #LoyaltyExpo in Orlando, hosted by Loyalty360. What a fun-filled three days. I was fortunate enough to be the moderator of a panel discussing the 'Keys to Driving Emotional Loyalty' with Ryan McGrath of Mille Lacs Corporate Ventures, Leah Carder of Reckitt, and Avery Miller of RBC as the panelists. One of the big projects Lauren Sutherland, MBA (she/her) and I worked on for our client Hilton was shared in a Hilton-Phaedon case study, ‘Building Emotional Loyalty with Team Members to Create Meaningful Careers and Deliver World-Class Guest Experiences,’ presented by Amanda (Krieger) Jamerson of Hilton Honors and Denise Holt, MBA of Phaedon. Plus, I'm proud to add that my awesome client partner on this same project, Liliana Minjares of Hilton Honors, presented the work at an awards finalist pitch and we took home a Gold Award🏆 for Employee Engagement and Impact. Phaedon also won a Silver 360 Degree Supplier Award🏆.
