🎉 We're blown away by the number of breastfeeding families who attended our inaugural Latch On event. Over 100 proud parents came together on August 15th to publicly breastfeed their babies, socialize, and support each other at PHFE WIC's 3rd annual health and resource fair. This event connected over 1,000 happy families to community resources like breastfeeding support, dental health, early education, child care, behavioral health, books, diapers, and more while they enjoyed a family day at the park. Special guests Congresswoman Linda Sanchez, Dr. Blayne Cutler, President and CEO of Heluna Health, and Kiran Saluja, Executive Director of PHFE WIC, spoke in honor of breastfeeding families and the work WIC does to make breastfeeding support accessible. Thank you to our dedicated WIC staff and community partners for making this a successful event. 😍 Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Chinatown Service Center 華埠服務中心, GARFIELD HEALTH CENTER, Options for Learning, HealthNet, Foothill Family, Congresswoman Linda Sanchez, Pacific Clinics, Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library, Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), Asian Youth Center, BreastfeedLA, BrightLife Kids, Gracelight Community Health, Children's Dental FunZone!, SPIRITT Family Services, El Monte City School District #phfewic #cinnamoms #breastfeedingmonth #wicworks
