  • Next up in our Johnson, Kendall & Johnson Women Who Inspire series, we're shining a spotlight on Meg Kane, Host City Executive for Philadelphia Soccer 2026! 🏟️⚽ From her early days in public relations to now leading Philadelphia in planning for FIFA World Cup 26™, Meg’s career has been shaped by her commitment to servant leadership, her deep-rooted belief in collaboration over competition, and the invaluable lessons learned from her incredible mentors in Philly. Philly, as Meg puts it, is the "smallest big city in America—it may be 6th largest in population, but here, everyone is just a few degrees of separation from one another, creating a network of passionate and powerful women who consistently work to lift each other up.” Through her role, Meg is helping to position Philadelphia to shine on a global stage, as the city has the privilege of hosting the FIFA World Cup 26™. She is determined to capture the passion of Philly’s sports fans, infusing both civic and national pride into every match that will take place here starting in June 2026. It is hard to believe that we are a little over 500 days away from this once-in-a-generation opportunity to showcase Philly’s spirit! A few key insights from Meg's journey: Empathy & Collaboration: “There are so many different ways to lead,” she says, “I’m lucky to know an incredibly diverse group of women who are stepping up and leading in such visionary ways in the city every single day. It gives me new ways to think about my own work. Leadership can be LOUD, quiet, felt through an understanding embrace, or demonstrated in a difficult conversation or moment. There are many different ways to lead, and Philadelphia has no shortage of great women leaders to both learn from and aspire to,” She highlighted a diverse group of women leading change in Philly as her inspiration—including Michelle Singer, Prema Gupta, Angela Val, Patty Wilson Aden, and Jodie Harris just to name a few. The Power of Luck: "Luck is the most important and unexpected element—sometimes, you just happen to be in the right place at the right time” (like when she helped the city shine during the World Meeting of Families and the visit of Pope Francis in 2015). The road to success is paved by a mix of networking, experience, education, and yes, luck—and Meg is making sure that when the FIFA World Cup™ arrives, Philly will be ready to show the world what it means to host with heart. #WomenWhoInspire #Leadership #FIFA2026 #PhillyPride #WorldCup #JKJ #JohnsonKendallJohnson #Insurance #Riskmanagement #Employeebenefits

This November, we are thrilled to spotlight Victoria Isley, Vice President of Partnership Solutions for the Philadelphia 76ers, as part of our Women Who Inspire series, presented by Johnson, Kendall & Johnson. Vicky's leadership in developing innovative partnership programs has been instrumental in developing the 76ers’ brand, driving revenue growth, and maintaining partner loyalty. Recently, she was recognized as a 2024 Philadelphia Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree for all her impactful work and leadership across the 76ers organization and Philadelphia. Vicky credits her journey in this career to her mother, a refugee from Vietnam, who arrived in the U.S. with the drive to provide a better life for herself and her family. From living in a refugee camp in Guam, her mother worked tirelessly to build a better-quality life for her family, eventually becoming a successful business owner. Vicky believes this tenacious attitude toward adversity guided her life and career. “My parents dedicated themselves to working tirelessly in order to provide a better future for my sisters and me, but achieving this was far from easy,” she says, emphasizing the importance of perseverance. This mindset is something she instills in her colleagues and young professionals entering the sports industry: “Work hard, raise your hand to try new things, and always maintain a strong work ethic.” Vicky believes in creating spaces where others can thrive, just as she did — all while upholding the values her mother taught her: resilience, dedication, and an unrelenting belief that nothing is given, everything is earned. Today, Vicky has been regarded as one of the top female executives amongst her peers in the sports industry through the work she has done in the Corporate Partnership Activation and Development departments with the Philadelphia 76ers, the New Jersey Devils/Prudential Center, the Golden State Warriors, the Boston Celtics, and the New York Giants. Vicky balances her dynamic career with family life in Philadelphia, where she lives with her husband Jake, and their son Jack. #WomenWhoInspire #JKJ #JohnsonKendallJohnson #Insurance #Riskmanagement #Employeebenefits

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we want to spotlight the story of a local Philadelphia leader and emphasize the critical importance of early detection and routine mammograms. In our latest installment of the Women Who Inspire series, presented by Johnson, Kendall & Johnson, we are honored to share the story of Amy Gallo, MBA, Vice President of Sales at Independence Blue Cross. Amy began her professional career at IBX 31 years ago and is not only a leader in her field but a resilient breast cancer survivor. Diagnosed at age 46, she credits her life-saving early detection to a routine mammogram that was almost skipped: “It was found through a routine mammogram. I can honestly say that early detection saved my life.” In 2024, more than 360,000 people will be diagnosed with breast cancer, but advancements in early detection continue to make a profound impact. Amy encourages us to prioritize our health: “Put yourself on the to-do list. The fall is a busy time of year for everyone. If I hadn’t gone in October, I would not have been stage one, and I would not have had the choices I had because of my specific type of cancer.” Her journey also involved navigating the emotional landscape of her diagnosis, especially when it came to her two children, “I didn’t tell my kids for two weeks! I needed to have all the answers before I told them. I’m really proud of how my kids took the entire thing—they really stepped up.” Amy has also dedicated herself to helping others through her involvement as a board member with United for Her. This community initiative provides support to women diagnosed with breast cancer, offering more than $2,000 in care services. From wellness events to personalized care packages, her commitment to empowerment and awareness is truly inspirational. She even took the stage in the Bloom Fashion Show alongside her daughter, further showcasing resilience and the strength of the community. For more information on United For Her, please visit www.uniteforher.org. Amy’s contributions don’t stop there; she actively supports initiatives to increase awareness and support for women of color, who face a disproportionately higher risk of breast cancer. She also serves as an executive sponsor for WOI, Women of Independence, a decades-long employee resource group featuring more than 660 women who work at IBX. Amy always takes the time to discuss her journey and options with anyone struggling with a recent diagnosis. Let Amy’s story be the reminder you need: early detection matters. If you’ve been putting off that mammogram, now is the time to act! #WomenWhoInspire #BreastCancerAwareness #EarlyDetection #JKJ #JohnsonKendallJohnson #Insurance #Riskmanagement #Employeebenefits #IndependenceBlueCross #IBX #UniteForHer

  • HERE TO STAY! Franchise cornerstone Joel Embiid has agreed to a multi-year contract extension. Joel has made it clear that his intentions are to spend his entire career with the 76ers, and in Philadelphia, the place in which he has built an amazing young family, and grown into an NBA MVP. Managing Partner Josh Harris shared, “Joel has cemented himself as one of the greatest Sixers of all time and is well on his way to being one of the best players to ever play the game. We’re ecstatic that this extension keeps him and his family in Philadelphia for years to come. Joel is a great family man, leader, and person. He is an elite two-way player with a combination of size, strength, and athleticism that this league has rarely – if ever – seen. He is integral to this franchise’s quest for another NBA Championship, and we are honored that he continues to choose this organization as his NBA home.” “I started a Sixer and want to be right here for the rest of my career. I had no idea when I was drafted as a 20-year-old kid from Cameroon how lucky I was to be in Philadelphia,” Embiid said. “Through all the ups and downs, this city and the fans have been everything, and I am so grateful for how they’ve embraced me. I want to thank Josh, David, and the entire organization. Philadelphia is home and it’s time to bring this community an NBA championship.” Read the full press release here: https://lnkd.in/eujydH8S Let's go! #Sixers

In the latest installment of our Women Who Inspire series, presented by Johnson, Kendall & Johnson (JKJ), we’re thrilled to spotlight Leslie Walker, Executive Director of the Sixers Youth Foundation (SYF). Leslie's dedication to non-profit work has spanned her entire career, blending her passion for supporting vulnerable children and their families with her ability to connect and empower communities. Leslie’s work with the Sixers Youth Foundation is focused on youth development across the surrounding Pennsylvania counties (Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery), Northern Delaware, and South Jersey, building a network of grantees who support each other and collaborate for the greater good. Leslie and her team believe in utilizing the power of basketball and the influence of the 76ers brand to inspire future generations in the communities where we live, work, and play. “The Foundation envisions communities where all children can create, pursue, and realize their dreams and live productive lives. We support this vision by investing in organizations serving youth within the areas of academic enrichment, play and recreational sports, and play spaces.” Her commitment extends to her family as well. Leslie takes pride in passing on her work ethic to her children, ages 23 and 26, who have embraced volunteering and developed empathy and people skills—traits they inherited from their ever-inspiring mother. In addition to her work with SYF, Leslie believes in the importance of mentorship. For her, mentors are more than advisors; they are listeners who help shape one's path and provide invaluable perspective. “Without such supportive and thoughtful mentors, my professional and personal paths – where I have been, where I am now, and where I plan to be – would not be possible. Regardless of where one is on their path in life, having and nurturing these kinds of invaluable relationships is crucial.” Leslie is passionate about continuing her mentorship journey, believing in its power to foster career development and personal growth. The connections and relationships she's built have been instrumental in her success, and she is committed to paying it forward. #WomenWhoInspire #JKJ #JohnsonKendallJohnson #Insurance #Riskmanagement #Employeebenefits #Leadership #Mentorship #Community #NonProfit #Philanthropy #Inspiration
