    Salespeople… SDR roles are getting more and more competitive. Here are 3 non-negotiable things you should be doing to stand out. 1. Posting consistently. If you’re in final stage interviews with a company, and there is another candidate with similar experience - which candidate do you think is going to get the position? Candidate A: Posts valuable content on Linkedin, consistently gets inbound leads since they create content for their ICP,  and has recordings showcasing that they can successfully cold call. Candidate B: Has never posted on linkedin. Let's be serious here. Candidate A is going to get the position 9/10. If you post consistently, not only are you going to build a deeper network of people that are potentially looking for the role you desire, but you’ll also PROVE that you have the knowledge and skills to DO the job. 2. Use PitchFolio. Pitchfolio is a digital portfolio that allows you to showcase your sales history and success in a real/tangible way. You can upload cold call recordings, include pictures of your CRM/deal creation, etc. If you’re looking to land a competitive SDR role, you have to prove you can do the role. Pitcholfio is a better way to do that than a traditional resume IMO. 3. Publicly post your journey. Belmont Anderson is a great example of this. On his first real day of searching for an SDR position, he announced that he would post everyday until he landed his desired role. He would post his call recordings to hiring managers, how he video prospected hiring managers, etc. In less than 30 days, he was able to land a role and is currently crushing it at Matador Solutions, LLC. If you want to land one of these roles. You’re going to have to stand out, there’s no getting around it.     Salespeople… Here's one tip that will help you TREMENDOUSLY next time you’re looking for a new position. Keep track of all your achievements. I mean ALL of them. Anytime your manager shouts you out… Take a screenshot. Anytime you crushed quota and booked 20+ meetings in a month… Take a screenshot. If you sourced/closed 100k in ARR… Take a screenshot. Next time you’re interviewing and the hiring manager asks why you’d be a good fit for the AE/SDR role. Don’t just tell them - SHOW them. I’m curious though, for all you hiring managers and sales leaders - if an SDR/AE sent you a folder filled with PROOF of their success following an interview, would you think more highly of them?     There's a massive problem with sales hiring right now. And there's not really an easy way to fix it. Here's the problem: Salespeople are all talk when interviewing. They over-exaggerate everything. Nothing is believable. Every single SDR I speak with is somehow 100%+ quota. But that's the problem - no hiring manager can really verify this. This means if you're interviewing, you have to go beyond just talking to prove you are skilled. If you really want to impress a hiring manager - show them instead of telling. - Put together a few examples of your cold emails - Do a mock cold call with a bot and record it. - Write a short objection handling playbook - Share testimonials from past clients - etc. Wrap it up into one place (shameless plug, use PitchFolio for this!). Then simply copy it and change a few sentences to tailor it to the hiring manager. But that's only the start! Once you land the interview, the key to a successful interview is doing more than just telling the hiring manager what you've done. You've got to do some discovery to determine what exactly they are looking for in a new hire. Only then can you solve their problem. Interviews are far more than just telling a hiring manager what you can do - you've got to keep showing them :)

    Remember - Remote sales jobs receive 3x more applications than in-office/hybrid roles. Meaning if you're looking for a remote sales role, you've got to stand out! Here's what we suggest: Optimize your resume, make sure your LinkedIn profile is filled out completely, and most importantly build a brag book with Pitchfolio (this is your chance to stand out!!) Hiring managers want to see extra initiative - why not do that by showing them what you bring to the table?

    Job search pro tip for salespeople - create a customized portfolio for each company you speak to. It's stupidly simple with PitchFolio, here's how: - Create one generic portfolio/brag book - Duplicate it, and customize the first few sentences for the company you are applying to and boom you're done! Hiring managers will now get a customized web page (you can even customize the URL!), they get a personalized message, and most importantly they can see what skills you bring to the company!

    How to get a sales interview. Old way vs new way: Old way - Submit application via LinkedIn or website - Share a resume with a few bullet points on what you did and what you accomplished - Wait for a response New Way - Apply and then proactively reach out to hiring managers via cold calls, cold email, and DMs - Share a PitchFolio brag book that contains results + HOW you hit quota - mock cold calls, sample cold emails, objection handling playbook, and everything else you can bring. The more examples the better! - Follow-up. Be a salesperson to get a sales job

    Job search pro tip: Use the LinkedIn search bar to find posts about open jobs. Here's how to do it: Let's say you want to find an SDR role. - Type "hiring SDRs" OR "hiring BDRs" into the search bar. - Filter by posts. - Sort by latest. You now have a list of posts from people hiring SDRs. Bonus: You now know exactly who to contact for the role. Use this to do proactive outreach Send these people your PitchFolio. Share with them sample cold emails, mock cold call recordings, how you handle objections, and a sample sequence.

    The amount of new SDR job postings I've seen today is encouraging 😀 Remember: - Apply, then reach out to hiring managers. Set up a sequence of cold calls, cold emails, and LinkedIn. Worst case scenario they say no. - Follow-up (this is underrated) - Build a brag book with PitchFolio. Seriously the success rates when people use these are wild - Use your network. Know someone at the company that's hiring? Reach out to them! - Don't get discouraged. Job-hunting sucks. It really does. But just like in sales, it's going to take a bunch of no's to get to that one yes Happy hunting!
