🌟 New National Youth Homelessness Partnership 🌟 The U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH) has launched the National Youth Homelessness Partnership to amplify the voices of youth with lived experiences of homelessness in the fight to prevent and end youth homelessness. This new alliance connects federal agencies, national homelessness organizations, and a Youth Advisory Group led by young people directly impacted by homelessness. Together, we're committed to: ✅ Empowering youth leadership in shaping solutions ✅ Enhancing collaboration across all levels to make lasting change ✅ Supporting the Federal Strategic Plan to prevent homelessness nationwide
"Our policies and decision-making are stronger when those who have experienced challenges firsthand can lead." - Education Secretary Miguel Cardona With the launch of the National Youth Homelessness Partnership, USICH elevates the voice of youth with lived expertise of homelessness in federal and national efforts to prevent and end it.

ICYMI: Power can shift by challenging assumptions. DCT has shown that it works to get and keep young people housed, is cost-effective, and simple in nature– organizations provide young people with cash in a safe way so they can decide what is most needed in their lives.
❓ What does "POWER" mean to you❓ For many funders, the idea of sharing power can feel daunting, and as philanthropy evolves, many are grappling with how to hold, share, and cede power responsibly. At this summer's Grantmakers In Health Annual Conference, we delved into this critical conversation with co-panelists Lauren Wilkie, MSW of Point Source Youth and Dr. Sulma Gandhi, CPCC, ACC of Stupski Foundation. Our discussion explored three innovative models designed to bring resources closer to local communities while challenging long-held assumptions in the sector. Want to learn more? Aisha Nyandoro, founder of Springboard To Opportunities, made a groundbreaking realization in 2017: to truly lift families out of poverty, they needed cash—no strings attached. In 2018, she launched the Magnolia Mother’s Trust, providing Black mothers in public housing $1,000 a month for a year. It was the first guaranteed income project of its kind, empowering families to pay off debts, invest in their futures, and plan beyond bills. The program has since grown, now supporting over 100 mothers annually and inspiring 150 similar initiatives nationwide. Nyandoro’s work is proof that cash restores dignity and autonomy, offering a chance to thrive. #GuaranteedIncome #TrustYouth #YouthAdvocacy #Time100
