Our talented Business Partnership Lead, Katie Mowery, originally joined PD to help build out our research offerings—and she hasn’t lost her passion for it! Recently, she returned to her roots during a class at The Ohio State University, sharing insights with students on the power of user research in business—how to integrate it effectively and the value it brings at every stage. The students walked away with game-changing knowledge, and by the end of the session, they were lining up, eager for a chance to work with our team at PD! We love opportunities to mentor, educate, and empower the next generation of innovators! #UserResearch #Mentorship #NextGenTalent

We’re excited to introduce our winter design intern, Hudson Hack! 👋🏻 Hudson is a senior Industrial Design student at the University of Kansas, and he’ll be joining our design team for the next few months. Hudson is eager to dive into the fast-paced world of product development, particularly in consumer electronics and sporting goods. After graduation, he’s aiming to combine his passion for design and golf by becoming a golf club designer! When he's not at work or in class, you’ll find Hudson outdoors with family and friends or perfecting his swing on the golf course. We’re looking forward to seeing all the great things he’ll contribute during his internship with us!

Flexibility isn't just a perk—it’s essential to creating a workplace where people feel valued and supported. At Priority Designs, we embrace flexible schedules and a hybrid work model to help our team balance work, personal commitments, and professional growth. Our biomedical engineer, Anne Marie Tollett, recently shared with ASME how this approach has transformed her daily life. As an engineer, a mom, and soon-to-be mother of two, Anne Marie’s ability to shift her schedule allows her to be fully present for both her career and family—without compromise. We were honored to welcome OSU Industrial Design students for their annual Design Charrette! This year, the students were challenged with creating a captivating, charismatic Foley object that physically and accurately produces the sound of an object-in-action from an assigned video clip. With no speakers or MIDI keyboards allowed, they relied purely on their imagination and some helpful tips from our sound design expert, Eddie Gandelman. Each group performed their creations live alongside the video in front of a panel of judges, who awarded superlatives for ingenuity and execution. Unlike Foley artists, who can edit and manipulate sounds, the students faced the challenge of syncing their designs live—quite an impressive feat! We’re continually inspired by the talent of the next generation of designers and are proud to foster such strong connections with the design community! #IndustrialDesign #FoleyArt #SoundDesign #DesignCharrette

Sr. Soft Goods Technical Designer Stephannie Kia recently attended the Functional Fabric Fair in Portland, a showcase for cutting-edge innovation, sustainability, and the "out of this world" future of functional textiles and wearable technology. “The shift toward eco-friendly and recycled materials isn’t just a trend anymore—it’s becoming a necessary standard across the textile industry. It’s encouraging to see how sustainability is shaping the future of design and production.” – Stephannie Kia Stephannie also learned more about the role textiles have in solving unique challenges in space exploration, such as managing moisture and sweat.
