We are delighted to announce the appointment of Tim Burks as Chief Technology Officer for PRO-spectus!  Tim brings deep leadership experience across the healthcare ecosystem with a wealth of experience and a proven track record of #innovation and #leadership in the technology sector. In this key role, Tim will lead PRO-spectus’ internal and external technology strategies, including technology development, innovation, and advancements. His expertise and forward-thinking approach will be invaluable as we continue to navigate the ever-evolving technology landscape. Tim served most recently as CTO at QualityMetric, a market leader in patient-reported outcomes and quality-of-life instruments, and was responsible for product development and internal technology. Tim also has significant consulting experience, including time as a “big 4” Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and a Principal at PRTM, an operational strategy boutique firm. He holds a Masters in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and we are confident that Tim’s leadership will help set new standards of excellence throughout the patient access continuum. Introducing Our Vice President of Pharmacy & Clinical Solutions, Market Access! It is with great excitement that we announce the appointment of Justin Neal as our Vice President of Pharmacy & Clinical Solutions, Market Access, here at PRO-spectus. In this new and exciting role, Justin will provide strategic leadership, oversight, and execution for all aspects of pharmacy and clinical operations to enhance patient outcomes and manage regulatory compliance. With an impressive track record, Justin brings a wealth of experience and expertise to #TeamPRO. Justin joins us from the world of specialty pharmacy, serving most recently as Vice President of Patient Support and Data Services. In that role, he managed patient services while also building and implementing patient support programs for pharma and payer partners. Over his career, he has implemented technology solutions to improve patient outcomes with the goal of getting patients on therapy faster and staying adherent longer, without sacrificing high-touch patient care. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from Albany College of Pharmacy and his MBA from Syracuse University. He has sat on numerous advisory boards and pilot programs in the specialty pharmacy space and has served as a subject matter expert to the HHS Office of National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) regarding the Pharmacy Interoperability and Emerging Therapeutics Task Force in 2023. This role relies on critical thinking skills to drive cases through complex authorization and appeal processes, with the primary focus of expediting patients’ access to care while securing payment channels to avoid unexpected out of pocket cost. This may involve interacting with private commercial or government-run insurers, healthcare providers, suppliers/distributors, and patients to ensure access across the care continuum. #PayorSpecialist is responsible for verifying insurance coverage, submitting authorization requests and maintaining follow-up communication with insurance companies. More specifically, this role verifies patient insurance benefits for specific procedure coverage, facilitates product related authorization/approval, and requests network or payment related exceptions.
