During a daily meeting, staff got to celebrate the presentation of a WOW award to Hospitalist Paul Middleton, M.D., who cares for inpatients at Providence. Recently a patient wrote in about the special care she received from Dr. Middleton. “I would really like to thank Dr. Middleton for making my stay so comfortable. He took his time to explain things to me so that I would understand. He is a very kindhearted doctor that I would recommend to anyone.” #WOW #ExpertCareClosetoHome #inPrimeHealth

We are excited to introduce our new nurse practitioner at the PMG Basehor Family Care physician office, Sylvia Gillis, APRN, FNP-C. She is no stranger to many of us at Providence and Saint John. And it's no surprise her healthcare career experience has led her to this current position in providing primary care. Sylvia has a passion for taking care of her patients. Rusty is an amazing ICU nurse here at Providence. He recently received four WOW nominations, some from colleagues and one very special note from a patient’s family. A colleague wrote, “Rusty goes above and beyond to make sure that everyone he is working with is having a good day. He is a big giant with a really, caring heart.” And a patient’s family wrote in, saying, “Rusty encouraged us to speak with our loved one, even while she was sedated. That time we spent with her was invaluable which we could have wasted otherwise. Thank you, Rusty, for taking great care of our family.” #WOW #ExpertCareClosetoHome
