The end of the year is a time to reflect on the past and look to the future. The challenges we face are urgent, but our CEO, Deirdre White, remains hopeful. "We know that by bringing together the right partners, listening deeply to communities, and applying our unique problem-solving techniques, we can make significant strides toward a more equitable and regenerative world." Building a world where equitable and regenerative systems enable all communities to thrive.
About us
Pyxera Global is a nonprofit social enterprise that connects global resources with local expertise to address our world’s most pressing challenges, one community at a time. Based in Washington, D.C., and active in over 100 countries, we build partnerships that put local leadership at the center of change. We believe communities are best positioned to drive their own solutions, and lasting impact happens when they have the right tools and resources. By partnering with businesses, governments, and nonprofits, we aim to reshape global systems to ensure everyone has the opportunity to lead fulfilling and prosperous lives. Our programs focus on food security, the circular economy, global health equity, and digital inclusion. Through our services—including corporate skills-based volunteering, technical assistance, and strategic advisory—we help build the leadership and capacity needed to turn ideas into action. Our vision is a world where equitable and regenerative systems enable all communities to thrive. We pursue this by creating partnerships that prioritize local stewardship, champion equity, and deliver transformative impact for a more just and regenerative future.

I am keenly aware that the problems of the world will not be solved by nonprofits alone, nor by governments. As the U.S. continues to show, governments often prioritize profit and power over humanity and the planet. The same can be said for much of the private sector. Yet, paradoxically, I also know that solving the climate crisis and emerging as a green, equitable, and just planet will require all of these sectors working together. True systems change demands that we embrace the uncomfortable truth: the structures that exist today were never designed to work for everyone. They were not built for equity, sustainability, or justice. But that doesn’t mean they cannot be reimagined. Change will not come through incremental adjustments or siloed efforts. It will take bold collaboration, a willingness to challenge the status quo, and a relentless exercise of imagining and reimagining what is possible. At Pyxera Global, we are doing this work every day. We are building bridges between governments, corporations, and communities to create solutions that address the root causes of systemic inequities. We understand that the power of transformation lies in the connections we forge and the partnerships we build. It is these connections that will create the cracks in the walls that oppress us—cracks where light and possibility can break through. To truly shift systems, we need collaborators—innovators, dreamers, and doers—who are willing to stand at the intersection of ambition and action. Together, we can reimagine what our future looks like. Together, we can create a planet that prioritizes people, protects the environment, and upholds justice. If this vision resonates with you, let’s talk. Let’s partner. Because the work ahead is urgent, and we cannot do it alone. #SystemsChange #ClimateAction #Equity #Sustainability #Partnerships #Davos #WEF25 #Collaboration #BelovedCommunity #PyxeraGlobal #ImaginingTheFuture

What makes #circulareconomy initiatives succeed? We’ve learned it’s the power of connecting global and local resources and expertise that creates scalable solutions, and you can join us at #Circularity on April 29-May 1 in Denver, CO, to see how to put our insights into action. #SystemsChange is never easy—for companies or communities. Through cross-sector partnerships like the Circular Supply Chain Coalition (CSCC), we’re breaking down barriers to realizing the full potential of #circularity. Implementing local material recovery systems in a net-positive economy, for example, can create business value by reducing operational risks and improving remanufacturing efficiency while also fostering community resilience through local business development and equitable value chain coordination. These are massive challenges, but together we can redefine the relationship between business and sustainability, driving a net-positive impact for people and the planet. Save $800 when you register for #Circularity by February 21, and use code C25PG for an extra 10% off: https://buff.ly/3DIW7Mx Trellis Group John Holm #GlobalEngagement #RegenerativeBusiness #SupplyChainSustainability #EconomicEquity

As I prepare to represent Pyxera Global at Davos, I’ve been reflecting on why this opportunity feels so deeply personal and profoundly important. My passion for sustainability, equity, and justice is rooted in my multiple identities—as a Black woman, a mother, a leader, and a dreamer. Each of these identities shapes how I see the world, how I navigate challenges, and how I envision solutions. They also remind me of the power and necessity of showing up as my authentic self, no matter the space or the audience. World Economic Forum (WEF) at Davos is not just a global gathering of leaders—it’s a space where ideas, innovation, and collaboration can ignite meaningful change. It’s a space where authenticity and diverse perspectives are needed more than ever. For me, this isn’t just about participating in critical conversations on climate, equity, and innovation—it’s about representing those whose voices are too often excluded. It’s about bringing my whole self to the table and advocating for a world where every identity is valued and every community has the opportunity to thrive. And I couldn’t imagine a more aligned organization than Pyxera Global to meet this moment. Pyxera understands the urgency of our challenges and the importance of approaching solutions with empathy, collaboration, and equity. Whether through advancing circular supply chains, creating circular cities, or scaling global pro bono initiatives, their work is rooted in building a more sustainable and inclusive world—one that reflects the principles of a beloved community. At Davos, my hope is to: ✅ Advance the conversation on circular supply chains to drive equitable global systems that reduce waste and prioritize community benefits. ✅ Advocate for circular cities that foster resilience, inclusivity, and sustainability for all. ✅ Expand global volunteer services by highlighting their transformative potential to address systemic inequities while building meaningful partnerships. ✅ Build coalitions with like-minded leaders to co-create innovative, actionable solutions that prioritize equity and justice. ✅ Uplift marginalized voices and ensure that our shared future reflects the needs of all communities, not just the privileged few. Good business is the regenerative economy. It’s about creating systems that not only sustain but heal—systems that bring opportunity, equity, and renewal. I am excited to connect with changemakers who share this vision and are committed to doing the hard work to make it a reality. If you’re attending WEF or are a fellow believer in the power of purpose-driven partnerships, let’s connect. Together, we can drive progress, spark innovation, and ensure no one is left behind. #WEF2024 #Davos #PyxeraGlobal #RegenerativeEconomy #CircularEconomy #BelovedCommunity #GlobalPartnerships

How can a country with world-renowned public health infrastructure still face a critical cardiac care capacity gap? In #CostaRica, serving 5.1 million people, only 3 adult cardiac surgery centers and 1 pediatric center leave more than 500 patients waiting for life-saving surgeries. This dedicated #skillsbasedvolunteering team collaborated with a small NGO to create a map to bridge the gap—working to strengthen the national health system, build capacity, and promote equitable access to care. Join me and my colleagues in celebrating an incredible demonstration of passion and commitment from Edwards Lifesciences Foundation’s Every Heartbeat Matters Pro Bono Corps and employee volunteer engagement partners, Pyxera Global. For two weeks in Costa Rica, the Heart to Heart Global Cardiac Care team worked alongside a dedicated group of seven leaders from Edwards Lifesciences’ offices around the globe with a common goal of collaborating with the Costa Rican community to expand and advance access to life-saving cardiac care for underserved patients. We had the opportunity to meet with a myriad of thought leaders to gather information and strategize how to best expand access to meet nationwide cardiac care needs, including HNN, Hospital de San Juan de Dios, CCSS, and many more. Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS) Thank you to our amazing partners at Edwards Lifesciences Foundation for their herculean effort to produce what will certainly be transformational resources for Heart to Heart and its life-saving work. What an unforgettable experience! Photo credits: Liz Miller, Reuben Holland, Monica Marín Odio (She/her), and Laila E.
