    Co-Founder & CEO @ Scalestack | Autonomous Revenue Engine

Every once in a while, you see something so broken, so frustrating, that you can’t unsee it. For me, that moment happened at Amazon Web Services (AWS). I was managing the AWS Global Startup Program, tracking thousands of high-growth, VC-backed companies, assessing their fit to join the program, and then helping them scale by finding other larger companies and enterprises willing to work with them. Easy enough, right? Amazon has tens of thousands of customers. But there was a problem. A massive one. Our CRM was useless. Our GTM data was broken. And so my manager (Erik Smith) and I were left with making critical revenue decisions based on...a spreadsheet. Yes, I had to build a spreadsheet trying to parse data manually from many different sources like Crunchbase, manually researching data on thousands of companies, and keeping that data updated, while doing my day job. That’s right. Even at Amazon, one of the world’s most data-driven companies, sales and BD teams were stuck fixing, enriching, and routing data manually. And then it hit me. Every company is running on a broken GTM system. Sales teams waste hours researching leads instead of selling. RevOps spend more time fixing CRM issues than optimizing GTM execution. Customer success reacts to churn instead of preventing it. The problem isn’t your sales team. It’s the system they’ve been forced to work in. It drives them to do things manually, spending their time doing repetitive and boring work. We call it the "Manual Work Tax". So Alessandro S Alter and I asked ourselves: What if all of this actually worked...automatically? 💡 What if we went from (once a year, painful) sales planning, to dynamic account profiling, enabling sales to prioritize the right accounts at any time, and efficiently distributing a book of business across the org? 💡 What if we accelerated lead conversion? De-anonymizing or enriching leads with valuable data, and prioritizing them for efficient follow-up, based on ICP and buyer persona matching? 💡 What if, by achieving automated CRM data hygiene, we increased trust and improved collaboration between sales and marketing? 💡 What if RevOps never had to fix another CRM mess? That’s why we built Scalestack. Not another point solution. Not another data source. Not another dashboard. An Autonomous Revenue Engine that makes GTM execution run itself. Because the future of GTM isn’t more tools. It’s an intelligent system that connects them all - an autonomous orchestration layer that helps you run your GTM ops, automatically. And here’s the thing. Some of the best GTM Ops teams are already making the shift. MongoDB. Redis. Astronomer. They’ve already broken free from the "Manual Work Tax". The question is—when will you? #Scalestack #GTM #Automation #RevOps #TheFutureOfGTM #AI

Build movements to separate from the sea of sameness | Co-Founder at RevGenius & Audience Haus | 2 exits | hits different

July 22, 2020 - this is our first website about 4 months after we launched. I knew I wanted to change the space: I wanted to create a space for everyone. To do that I had to allow everyone to join, at no costs. Previously that wasnt really done - there were paid and unpaid groups of senior leaders only. But the space needed a community for all. So individual contributors could see a path to the top and leaders could learn from people in the trenches. Shocked it didn’t exist. We grew 1,000-3,000 members a month for the first year. Now, with the inflection point of AI , and the access to more inclusive communities than ever (yes!), the movement needs to shift. Working on building the next big thing for the revenue space alongside Karthiga Ratnam who continuously pushes us think and be different, and our stellar team. Really excited to build this with you all. In the meantime, come join RevGenius if you’re not in yet and send me a note if you’re a senior leader and want to join some of the micro communities we are launching just for you (always free). Also read today’s Audience Haus newsletter on Unlocking the Power of Archetypes to Build Movements That Last. These archetypes help movements convey instant meaning and emotional relevance. The 12 Brand Archetypes: Mark & Pearson’s The Hero and the Outlaw translated Jung’s model into branding, identifying 12 archetypes that brands use to shape identity and emotional connection: The Innocent – Optimism (Dove ) The Explorer – Freedom (Patagonia ) The Sage – Truth (TED Conferences ) The Hero – Courage (Nike ) The Outlaw – Rebellion (Harley-Davidson Motor Company ) The Magician – Transformation (Apple ) The Everyman – Belonging (IKEA) The Lover – Intimacy (CHANEL ) The Jester – Joy (@Old Spice) The Caregiver – Compassion (TOMS ) The Creator – Innovation (Adobe ) The Ruler – Authority (Microsoft ) They shape how your audience feels about your mission—before you even say a word. Let’s go! It’s almost time …

  • You didn't miss anything: We continue the debate! We asked the hard question: Is the SDR role evolving… or extinct? And the debate isn’t done yet.   Here’s what we’ve unpacked in part 1: - SDRs aren’t dead—bad strategies are - AI should enhance, not replace - Efficiency matters, but human connection still wins - Cold calls need real people, not scripts - Relevance beats volume every time - AI helps, but are we automating ourselves out? What would you add? Do you feel your take is missing? 🤔 Join Paris P., Mollie B., Eric Johnson 🟣 and Jared Robin on April 10th for more hot takes on the SDR role being dead (?) or just being redefined. 🔥 Register here! https://lnkd.in/dvEHfKeb (P.S We had fun in Part 1 👇 )

The vibes at dinner last night were immaculate: Bryan Elsesser - it was just a love fest. Haven’t seen him in a minute and our relationship of just mutual respect and kindness escalates every time we hang. Way more kindness and laughter than anything. And his future legal degree! One of us (in the gtm world ) needed to do it. He’s going to crush even harder. Jared Barol - brilliant gtm mind and even better hang. His TLC event (t bones, lobster and Cabernet) for revops leaders gave me jealousy for missing it and chatting on equal parts metrics and community was incredible. Paul Yacoubian - such incredible kindness and didn’t meet him until the end. What an incredible host. Alina Vandenberghe 🌶️ - she moderated my first table (yes switched for desert ) with a discussion of our first jobs amongst other important things. She gave us some insight into the Chili Piper partner motion playbook and it’s probably the best I’ve heard. I absolutely love every time I get to see her and never stop learning from her. 🔥🔥 ☁️ Cliff Simon - has been a friend for years and hearing about all his wins in business and life. It makes me so happy every time we hang. Another love fest. 🐰 Jen Igartua - is the best; we didn’t spend a ton of time together but just hugging her brings joy. She’s one of the most incredible leaders and joyful people I know. Laura Erdem - we spoke about her girls, my brother, NYC and the importance of creativity. I love that she lives in NYC now and is always an incredible hang. Ran into eachother again on subway after running from rain. Was so dope learning about her NYC journey and about her girls’ growing up here. Not pictured Hamish Stephenson 🦘 - dude you’re my boy. Just complete joy seeing you. Kyle Coleman - now an author too! Loved getting a chance to chat and meet IRL. You’re an exceptional leader and an even better human and dad! Looking forward to watching copy.ai definite the future of revenue and you continue to do awesome things! Colin Specter🥇 - you’re so awesome and we talked and vibed so hard when we got there. It was so great seeing you and I want to hang asap and as much as possible. We spoke of both going through 0-1 together - you w orum and me w RevGenius. Need to get you back leading in the community :)) Thank you to Copy.ai for bringing together such brilliant minds and great friends. NYC rocks 🔥 I’m grateful for such amazing hangs. 🙏🏼

Old AI playbook: - Replace SDRs with AI agents - Swap engineers for autonomous developers - Automate support with chatbots New AI playbook: - Augment GTM with AI agents - Give engineers added superpowers of AI - Augment support with AI Some stats from Tomasz Tunguz of Theory Ventures: - cutting headcount with AI saw 3% value gain. - Those mastering human-AI teamwork? Worth 5X more. He analyzed 100+ public software companies to see what drives more value: 1. Cutting headcount with AI 2. Using AI to boost team performance His first test: Cut R&D costs by 50% with AI replacement. His second test: Boost developer productivity by 30% with AI amplification. Turns out, saving money looks great on paper - but the market rewards companies that fuel growth. The math was clear: * Strategy #1: 3% value bump * Strategy #2: 5X more value created In other words: AI's real power isn't in replacing humans - it's in unleashing their potential. The future of revenue is going to be won and lost by creativity. Creativity in using AI to amplify impact. Creativity in using content and community to build movements. The rise of the revenue creator is coming... Post inspo from Amos at Swan AI (his newsletter is a banger).
