There will be a range of onsite activities featuring music-themed giveaways, face painting, bubble art, lawn games, and snow cones. The Women’s Leadership Initiative closed out a banner year with a panel of women leaders sharing pointers on how to communicate experiences, career transitions, skillset, values – your story – effectively for career advancement. Our speakers also shared additional career advice, like the importance of regular self-assessment and finding the right environment to thrive through the course of their discussion. A networking happy hour followed allowing attendees to mingle while enjoying the views from the rooftop of The Crescendo at City Ridge. Our gratitude to our panelists Roberta Bosfield, Kelly Sewell Nagel, Ellen Klasson, and Maria Thompson for sharing their insights and wisdoms, and to our WLI Committee members who worked tirelessly to organize our end of year celebration. The Cambria Hotel, at 899 O St. NW in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood, has been sold. The hotel was developed in 2012 by a joint venture of Concord Hospitality, D.C.-based Roadside Development LLC, and Choice Hotels International, and is a strong asset for City Market at O. the hotel was recently acquired by an affiliate of Frontier Development & Hospitality Group LLC from North Carolina-based Concord Hospitality.
