👉 The energy transition in the framework of the SECOVE project The energy transition is the process of changing from an energy system based on non-renewable and highly polluting energy sources, such as oil and coal, to a system based on clean and renewable energy sources💡 , such as solar, wind, hydroelectric and geothermal. Today, the energy transition represents a challenge, but also an opportunity for industrial companies to be leaders in the fight against ♻️climate change and contribute to building a more sustainable future. In order to tackle the energy transformation, a series of competences are required, some of which are as follows: 1. Knowledge about technologies and processes related to renewable energies, such as solar, wind, hydroelectric, geothermal, among others. 2. Data analysis skills to be able to collect, analyse and interpret the information needed to make decisions related to the energy transition. 3. Project management skills to know how to implement large-scale projects, so it is crucial to have project management skills to ensure their correct development and fulfilment of objectives. 4. 👉 Establishing Innovation Hubs under the SECOVE Project Under the SECOVE project, innovation hubs are designed as dynamic learning spaces where students 👥 can actively apply their knowledge in a controlled and supportive environment. 📣 Uniting Minds in Donostia: New project partner meeting in San Sebastian! On July 1st, we hosted a highly productive meeting in Donostia – San Sebastian. This gathering was a pivotal moment for the SECOVE project, bringing together our dedicated team to discuss the significant advancements we've made so far and to outline the crucial tasks that lie ahead. 📌 The project just achieved its second year. During this meeting, we delved into the progress of our various work packages, evaluated the outcomes of recent activities, and coordinated our efforts to ensure we stay on track with our ambitious goals. ✅ Key topics of discussion included the setup, governance, and funding of SECOVE; making VET relevant; promoting synergies between VET, the labor market, and needs; dissemination and exploitation; promoting and sustaining quality and innovation in VET; and making SECOVE inclusive and encouraging women. This meeting also served as a precursor to the anticipated SECOVE Congress, held on July 2nd and 3rd. 🔍 Over these two days, we engaged in in-depth discussions, workshops, and collaborative sessions, further strengthening our network and sharing insights on best practices. The congress was an incredible opportunity ❗ to exchange ideas, explore new perspectives, and build on the solid foundation we have established. Jorge Arévalo Turrillas, Vice Councillor for Vocational Training of the Basque Government, discussed the future challenges and the new Basque VET system, highlighting the importance of human values and leadership. 🔻Paolo Nardi from European Forum for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (EfVET), provided an overview of VET situation in Europe and EfVET's role in promoting it. Basaralu Sudharshan, CPSM from Edutech NTTF India Pvt Ltd, shared opportunities for collaboration in VET between Europe and India. 🔻Marta MACHO STADLER, professor of mathematics at Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea addressed the role of women in digital educational environment. George Zisimos and Doriana Monteleone from the European Training Foundation discussed tools and support services for enhancing the internationalization of vocational excellence. In the COVE SPACE, 👉Juan Sebastian CORTES and Maria-Daniela GUSA presented the Forum CoVES in Lyon. GEORGIOS PRINIOTAKIS introduced the SECOVE project, followed by Slavka Tzanova, who dit with ECoVEM and both signed a MoU to perform joint actions.
