#ShawmutProud to contribute to Walmart’s commitment to sustainability at its new home office campus by building four of the mass timber office buildings. A total of 2.9 million square feet of the campus is constructed from mass timber, resulting in a 15% reduction in carbon emissions compared to conventional materials.

#ShawmutProud to share that the #ShawmutBuilt Valentino Madison Ave flagship has received another honor—silver in the BETTER FUTURE Awards World Design Awards. Completing later this month, the Gensler-designed and #ShawmutBuilt renovations to Dignity Health Sports Park for the LA Galaxy and AEG will completely upgrade stadium and premium seating, add cabanas, and refresh concessions. Through a #ShawmutBuilt renovation, the historic Andrews House at Brown University has been transformed into a dynamic new home for the Cogut Institute for the Humanities. In partnership with Goody Clancy, the 1901 building was revitalized to preserve its historic character while enhancing accessibility, sustainability, and collaboration. Now, students engage in a modern hub for cross-disciplinary humanities research, featuring seminar rooms, office spaces, and inviting common areas. We were honored to join Brooklyn Public Library and Mitchell Giurgola at the ENR New York Best Project Awards, where the #ShawmutBuilt Sunset Park branch was recognized as a Project of the Year Finalist and awarded Best Cultural Project. The new space is part of a transformative urban redevelopment, combining a state-of-the-art public library with 100% affordable housing—a first for New York City. Spanning 20,000 square feet across the first two and a half levels of an eight-story building, the new library nearly doubles the size of its predecessor. It features Brooklyn’s largest teen area, a recording studio, and flexible community rooms. It’s vibrant, light-filled design fosters accessibility and engagement, with murals that celebrate the diversity of the Sunset Park community.
