  • It's #flashbackfriday again! Today, we’re excited to highlight our Duisburg site in Germany, a cornerstone of innovation since 1862. The evolution of our compressors has been remarkable, transforming from early engineering marvels to today’s cutting-edge technology. Our commitment to excellence has stood the test of time. Did you know? In the early days, there was a bar just across the street from the factory. When workers received their pay, their wives often waited at the gate to ensure that the money didn’t go straight to the bar! Talk about teamwork! 🍻💰 Now, let’s test your knowledge! 🧠💡 What year did Siemens Energy start producing turbocompressors in Duisburg? A) 1908 B) 1929 C) 1955 Drop your answer in the comments below! 👇 We’ll reveal the correct answer next week, so stay tuned!

  • Like many other countries, Ireland’s 🇮🇪 grid gets its inertia from conventional power plants. But with the country set to phase out coal-fired power generation in favor of renewables, what steps are actually being taken? At the Moneypoint power plant, the first step was for us to install a synchronous condenser to allow the power station to continue to provide the necessary grid stability once its coal-fired turbines are shut down. The synchronous condenser at Moneypoint provides a low-carbon alternative, helping to transform the station to a cleaner, greener energy hub 💚

👩🔧 Gender equality progress is slow. At this rate, it will take until 2158 to reach full parity, according to the World Economic Forum. We must act now for a fair and inclusive future. On #InternationalWomensDay, we honor women like Geles Ruiz Cacho and her team, breaking barriers in the energy transition, and allies supporting gender equality. 🌎 Let's unite to #AccelerateAction and support advancement #ForAllWomenAndGirls. Driving the energy transition and shaping the future of energy relies on all of us. #TeamPurple

  • So many gas turbines in one place! 👀 Our logistics team recently took a visit to the Wallman Terminal at the Port of Hamburg where there are currently no less than twelve gas turbines, manufactured in Berlin, waiting to be shipped to destinations all over the world.
