Lake County's favorite fundraiser is less than two weeks away! Join us on Friday, August 2, at LaMalfa in Mentor for Dancing Under the Stars, where 11 local celebrities are paired with professional dancers to perform choreographed routines, much like the beloved television show. It's an evening full of delicious food, dazzling entertainment, and a lively dance floor, all to raise funds for Signature Health's Sexual and Reproductive Health Program and Lifeline. Even if you aren't able to purchase a ticket or table to attend, you can still support your favorite dancer and "vote" with your dollars to help them win the coveted People's Choice Award! https://ow.ly/ZHfr50SGqjM

Thank you to the United Way of Lake County for awarding Signature Health with a $20,000 grant to support mental health care at home for older adults. Funds from the grant will be used to grow our Care at Home program, which delivers high-quality psychiatry, counseling and case management services directly to the homes of older adults—whether they reside in an assisted living facility, nursing home or private residence. “Caring for the behavioral health needs of older adults with skill and compassion is vital for this rapidly rising population,” says Adrienne Green, Signature Health's Director of Geriatric Services. “Signature Health has made a commitment to meet community needs in this area, and we are thankful for the United Way’s support to help us serve vulnerable Lake Countians in the comfort of where they call home." July is Bebe Moore Campbell National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month–a time to focus on the unique strengths and challenges that Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) face when it comes to mental health. Bebe Moore Campbell was a journalist, teacher, author, and dedicated mental health advocate for the Black community and other underrepresented groups. National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month was established and named in honor of her work. Whether it’s cultural beliefs, fear of judgment, or lack of access to information and resources, stigma can manifest itself in many ways. It can look different based on culture, family values, and community views. Taking the first steps can feel hard, but addressing and improving your own mental health has an impact on the wellness of the community at large. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/g5ikV_4u
