I couldn’t have had a better experience at the first ever LCOB Carnival School Year Finale! I’m truly humbled to have won the SJSU College of Business All Around Outstanding Student Award alongside Hector Gonzales who won the All Around Outstanding Alumni Award and Jessica Te, MBA who won Outstanding Alumni of Graduation within One Year. I’m super proud of my team with SJSU GBSA for taking home the Outstanding Mentorship Initiatives Award. Shoutout to Truc Tran for winning GBSA Outstanding Student and John Duarte for being GBSA’s honorable student leader. None of this year’s success would have been possible without you two and the contributions of other graduate business students like Yasmine Taghi, Andrew Cormier, Brisia Martinez, and Jessica Randev. Of course huge thank you to our incredible faculty advisor, David Czerwinski. This event was a huge project and a lot of people stepped up to make it possible including Dean Rangapriya (Priya) Kannan who guided our planning process and believed in us students to turn this into a reality. Thank you to Shambhavi S. and Lasya Reddy Kotha from SJSU Women in Business for your incredible event management skills and hyper productive mindsets that made the fun of this event possible. It’s been amazing working with Charvi Choudhary and Kim Nguyen from the SJSU Marketing Association. You all used your marketing skills to bring so much hype to this event for a great turnout. And of course we can’t forget about Jesse Flaris who filmed and edited our LCOB Star Wars Movie. It was a great experience to work with Isabel Perez and Alexandra Phan from SHRM at SJSU. Thank you for using your HR skills to keep operations organized behind the scenes and configure our award/recognition process. Props to Jasmine Alvarado and the Latino Business Student Association - San Jose State University for using your powerful community building skills to engage alumni in this event. It was great meeting you Sean O. from Financial Management Association of SJSU. You really pulled through to help execute the event and keep things moving smoothly. Things looked bleak with the rain, but Bobbi Makani-Lim from the SJSU Career Center stepped in to save the day reserving the gym last minute for us. Achieving something great often seems like it’s very far away, but this experience taught me that everything you need to be successful and everything you could ever need to be an amazing leader is already standing right in front of me at San Jose State University. Thanks again to everyone! This has definitely been my highlight experience as a student at SJSU! Lucas College and Graduate School of Business at SJSU
