The Code for Digital Transformation of Transport Hubs report considers the practical use of enabling technology to support the operations of transport hubs. The report considers the role and usefulness of digital twins in particular, within the context of transport hubs, and provides practical guidance on the implementation of digital twin projects for both public sector and private sector users. Drawing upon case studies from the global transport industries, the report provides insights around issues such as: · An overview of digital twins, and transport hubs · Types of digital twin projects, their relevance and application · Governance systems in support of digital twin projects. · Implementation frameworks · Resources required for implementation · Regulatory considerations · Implementation roadmap · Barriers and risks Case studies from Vancouver Airport Authority and Transurban and isometrics from NCS Group Australia have been developed to illustrate a wide variety of users and purposes of digital twin projects. Smart Cities Council, as custodian of this report has stewarded its creation and publication through an open and collaborative process with stakeholders. SCC acknowledges the many professional and representative bodies working to advance both digital twin development and application as well as digital transformation within the transport sector.
