It’s Show(case) time! Welcome to the stage Ashley Nunez, known by her team as “Sweet Cakes.” Over the past six years, Ashley has worked her way up the Snooze pancake stack from being a server and barista, traveling to new Snooze restaurants supporting the training process (a role we refer to as “Trotter”), becoming a supervisor, and most recently getting promoted to Assistant General Manager for our next Snooze in Las Vegas at our Sunset and Durango location. Talk about an amazing journey! At Snooze, we understand that our Snoozers need to feel their best to perform their best. Our focus on mental health is one of the many reasons that Snoozers like Ashley stay here long term and choose to grow their career with us. “Snooze has been instrumental in maintaining my work-life balance and nurturing my mental well-being. Juneteenth is a vital moment to reflect on our history and celebrate progress. Today, we spotlight Will, one of our incredible Snoozers, to share his perspective on this important day. Will Smith, known affectionately as "Da Buttah," exemplifies a blend of strength and smoothness that enriches everything around him, much like his namesake. Through hard work and his infectious energy, Will has had the opportunity to work at five different Snooze locations, from California to Georgia. His presence effortlessly integrates into any restaurant he supports, just like butter. As we mark Juneteenth, we celebrate the pursuit of freedom and equality. "For me, Juneteenth signifies the hard-fought battle against inequality and validates all that our ancestors endured and overcame. It's powerful and a reminder that the fight isn't over," says Will. He celebrates with his family by attending local events like the music festival and parade in Piedmont Park, supporting black-owned businesses, and engaging in music and fellowship at cookouts. Will emphasizes the importance for us to honor diversity, amplify voices, and champion progress.

Jami joined our team last August and has since become an integral part of our community, known for their vibrant personality and dedication to making every guest feel special. Jami's understanding of PRIDE goes beyond celebration—it's about self-love, embracing who you are, and spreading happiness. They believe that taking pride in oneself can be an eye-opening experience for others, fostering a more inclusive and compassionate world. Outside of work, Jami enjoys cosplaying, painting, and spending time with their two beloved dogs, Cole and King Triton. These passions often find their way into their role at Snooze, where Jami brings creativity to life through colorful outfits on theme days and artistic latte designs, delighting both coworkers and guests alike. Jami celebrates Pride Month by attending parades and supporting LGBTQ+ owned and friendly businesses.
