A huge thank you to Byron V. Garrett, Rachel Korberg, and Charuni Patibanda for joining our President & COO Kirstin Hill for a fantastic conversation at #JFFHorizons24! Our panelists discussed the opportunities and challeneges of leveraging one-time infusions of federal funding to build sustainable pathways to economic opportunity. Some key takeaways: ⭐️ We have an incredible opportunity to advance our climate and infrastructure goals—and to do so in a way that uplifts a generation of workers. ⭐️ Access to good jobs and opportunity is a bipartisan issue. ⭐️ The most impactful public-private partnerships align all stakeholders around the same objectives—so that when employers win, so do governments and workers. #ARPA #GGRF #Workforce

Allen, a navy veteran living in rural Idaho, was ready for a career fresh start. With support from Social Finance's UP Fund, Allen enrolled in a short-term fiber splicing course through telecommunications school Learning Alliance Corporation. A few weeks later, he graduated and landed a job as a fiber technician earning $25,000 a year more than he made previously. “I’m making great money, great benefits.
