These people change lives, it's an honor to know and work with them. Way to go, Larimer County Youth Crisis Response Team! Beyond well-deserved. Forever blown away by the magic that exists in Northern Colorado when it comes to #innovative ways to support #YouthMentalHealth Brendan Solano SummitStone Health Partners
Congratulations to the Youth Crisis Response Team (YCRT) for garnering the Larimer County Grand Prize 2024 Innovation Award! The YCRT is a school resource officer paired with a SummitStone mental health crisis clinician. Together, they respond to address school-age children experiencing mental health, substance use, or co-occurring crises. This groundbreaking approach to serving students in crisis brings together three entities to serve students and provide the resources they need: law enforcement, mental health professionals, and the Thompson School District. In this partnership, the YCRT builds relationships, cooperation, and collaboration with the school district and its schools, counselors, and administrators, who are already aware of students who might be struggling with #mentalhealth or #substanceuse. More understanding is gained from this partnership along with expanded resources for students. Pictured are: Sheriff Feyen, Sgt. Cook, Deputy Solano (Larimer County Sheriff's Office), Commissioner Jody Shadduck-McNally, Joe Vodjanksy (Thompson School District), Michelle Sylvester (SummitStone Co-Response Clinician), Commissioner John Kefalas, and County Manager Volker.

Today and every day, we recognize and honor the strength of survivors, all types of survivors. We see you, stand with you, and acknowledge the pain that often goes unseen. Let October's Domestic Violence Month be a reminder for all of us to show compassion, listen with care, and support those affected by domestic violence in their journey towards healing. 💜 #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth

Last week, we were busy celebrating our co-responders for #CoResponseAppreciationWeek! The week kicked off with Coffee with a Co-Responder hosted by Larimer County Sheriff's Office along with Loveland Police Department and Fort Collins Police Services. We also accepted the Grand Prize Larimer County Innovation Award for our youth co-response team, a partnership with SummitStone, Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, and Thompson School District. Congratulations! Lastly, our Loveland co-response team represented SummitStone at a Fentanyl Awareness Event hosted by Loveland Police. The event raised awareness and provided education and resources to community members about the dangers of #fentanyl. It was a very productive week for this ground-breaking partnership for Larimer County!
