Employees at the Kentucky Complex celebrate the retirement of Bob Kursave! On September 26, 1994, Bob joined Superior Graphite as an Assistant Warehouse Person. He transferred to the Site 20 Production Operator role on January 9, 1995, where he worked until moving to the Site 25 Advanced Materials Plant on May 3, 1996, as Production Operator. Bob worked at Site 25 until his retirement on October 25, 2024. Throughout his work career, he has been willing to assist in whatever way he needed to fulfill production tasks for the complex.         We thank Bob for his 30+ year commitment to the Superior Graphite Kentucky operations and wish him well as he enjoys this new chapter in his life!

The Superior Graphite Kentucky Complex celebrated the retirement of Nelson Coker. Nelson joined the organization on August 10, 1984, as Utility (today’s Production Operator). He held various positions in production before transitioning to Maintenance Mechanic in 2004. He has been a committed member of our team through his 40+ years. We wish him well as he enjoys his “no schedule” retirement days!

This project, backed by the Port Infrastructure Development Project (PIDP) grant from the U.S. Maritime Administration, marks a significant step forward in enhancing the port's infrastructure and capabilities. We have a longstanding 40+ year partnership with the Paducah Riverport, and this refurbishment ensures that our collaboration will continue to thrive. The new canvas fabric tension roofs on the storage domes, constructed by Bulk Storage Inc., are not only efficient and durable but also support our journey toward becoming a leading Active Anode Material producer for the Li-ion battery market.
