🎉 Exciting News! 🎉 We are thrilled to announce that Desiree Butts has been elected as the new VP-Elect for the Council of College and Military Educators (CCME)! Desiree serves as the Executive Director for Military & VA Programs at National University, where she is instrumental in shaping strategies and policies that impact military and veteran-connected students. With over 20 years of experience in DoD Voluntary Education, she has made significant contributions, previously holding various positions at HQMC Voluntary Education and Library Programs before joining National University in 2010. Her dedication to fostering partnerships with military and veteran-affiliated organizations and connecting students and their families to educational and career development opportunities is truly commendable. Desiree holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Park University and a Master of Business Administration from National University. In addition to her role at National University, Desiree is the Conferment Officer for CCME and serves as the President for the Virginia Advisory Council on Military Education. She resides in Northern Virginia with her daughters, Alexandra, a Norfolk State University alumna, and Leila, a current Norfolk State University student.
