TBWA\Chiat\Day NY's Executive Strategy Director, Social & Content, Lesley Parks, took to The Clios Creative Summit yesterday to drop some knowledge on their social-first marketing panel! Here are a few key takeaways: 💡 What keeps Lesley up at night? “The balance between speed and thoughtfulness when it comes to social. There’s so many niche communities moving culture forward.” Her thought is, “Only hop on (a trend) if you have something to say. What are the moments that matter and make culture?” 💡A piece of advice to the creatives in the rooms: “Are you obsessed with an idea that’s poppin’ off? Are you interested in it? Is it relevant? Fight for your idea!” 💡”Social-first marketing is really just audience-first marketing. Thinking about who are we going after? What is your mindset for the platform, and making sure we’re creating to them. You have to create to the brief as well but the audience comes first.” 💡 “That’s our job as creatives in advertising.
