𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗚𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 When it comes to bottom detection, gates are essential for minimizing false detections. While any gate can handle a flat seabed, the SeaBat T-Series takes it a step further with its unique adaptive gates. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗜𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁? As shown in this example, the adaptive gates can seamlessly follow both flat terrain and steep cliffs, ensuring accurate bottom detection across diverse seabed conditions. This capability is key to the SeaBat T-Series delivering the best data quality and achieving the widest swaths. 🚢 Navigate complex terrains with confidence and precision using adaptive gates!   Stay tuned for 6 more tips on optimizing your data! ... or take a sneak peak in our article here: https://lnkd.in/d7z-Tmtj   #MarineTech #SeabedMapping #Sonar #MarineTechnology #EveryWhereYouLook

Navigating Challenges in Hydrographic Surveying: A Case Study from Vietnam In the ever-changing waters of Vietnam 🌊, hydrographic surveying presents a unique set of challenges that demand innovative solutions. Viet Hydrographic Survey Co., Ltd. (VHS) has faced significant hurdles, including: 𝗟𝗼𝘄 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: Frequent poor visibility and sediment disturbance complicate data accuracy. 𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿: Rapidly changing tropical conditions pose risks to crew safety and operational continuity. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆: Underwater rocks, shipwrecks, and debris complicate survey paths, impacting results. 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Harsh marine environments require durable and reliable surveying tools. These challenges led to operational delays and increased costs for VHS, a key player in Vietnam’s oil, gas, marine construction, and renewable energy sectors. To overcome these obstacles, VHS adopted the Teledyne Marine SeaBat T20R-INS multibeam echosounder—a game-changer for their surveying capabilities. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁? By implementing the SeaBat T20R-INS, VHS not only enhanced data accuracy but also improved overall operational efficiency, positioning themselves for future advancements in hydrographic surveying. 🔗 Link to the case study: https://lnkd.in/dQFD3eTC #HydrographicSurveying #MarineTech #EverywhereYouLook

We have now completed experimentation at #REPMUS24 using the Teledyne Marine Slocum gliders in support of the Portuguese Navy international exercise. Over the past two weeks, the two Slocum gliders, equipped with the JASCO Applied Sciences ObserverSnout, featuring a four-hydrophone spatial array and a conductivity, temperature, depth (CTD) sensor, collected data supporting both Rapid Environmental Assessment and Anti-submarine Warfare (ASW) operations. The Teledyne Marine team, which included JASCO Applied Sciences and Blue Ocean Marine Tech Systems, operated the Slocum gliders. The gliders have successfully detected of several of the anti-submarine warfare targets, deployed during the experiments and exfiltrated to support data collection at the Maritime Operations Center. An example is shown in the heatmap, presented in Blue Ocean’s SeaSuite™ visualization software”. The results of these experiments will be used to enhance the ASW barrier concepts using unmanned undersea systems. Teledyne Marine has worked closely with its international partners. Pictured left is Teledyne’s lead Slocum glider pilot for REPMUS 24 Cordie Goodrich briefing Captain Romel Pera, Deputy Director of the Romanian Maritime Hydrographic Directorate, and Lieutenant Commander Florin Constantinoiu, Romanian Navy and Oceanography Staff Officer at the NATO Maritime GEOMETOC Centre of Excellence. Pictured to the right is Ensign Andreea-Cătălina Butnariu programming gliders under supervision from Teledyne field operator Karl Boettger responding to REA tasking to support ASW. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝗡𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 & 𝗟𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 When the range is set too short, the outer beams can miss the seabed, this lead to: 🔵Noisy data. 🔵Reduced coverage. 🔵Extensive data cleaning. Often this happens when depth changes without the operator noticing, resulting in lost ship time and efficiency. 🔍 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻? 𝗘𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗕𝗮𝘁 𝗧-𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗿 With the Tracker option enabled, the range is automatically adjusted in response to depth changes, ensuring consistent and accurate data collection. This reduces the need for constant monitoring and prevents common data quality issues. 🛠 Want more tips on optimizing your data?
