⚾️   We join in honoring Los Angeles Dodgers icon Fernando Valenzuela, whose legacy is a powerful testament to the resilience and pride of immigrant communities in Los Angeles and beyond.    As one of the first Mexican-born players to achieve stardom in Major League Baseball (MLB), Fernando’s success on the mound showed generations that cultural heritage and immigrant roots are strengths to be celebrated.  His story reminds us of the power of representation in sports and the lasting impact of being true to who you are.  Fernando will be rightfully celebrated tonight as the Dodgers take the field for World Series Game 1.    #ImmigrantPride #Fernandomania #Dodgers #WorldSeries Boyle Heights Beat   https://lnkd.in/gFF_c2DU

As we celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day today, we recognize the Native communities that call California home. With 109 federally recognized Tribes and many more seeking restoration, Cal Wellness is proud to support Tribal leaders through initiatives that focus on cultural preservation, language recovery, and community healing.
