We had an incredible morning at today’s “Rise & Thrive” event! Huge shoutout to Caleb Paull for sharing his powerful insights on Building Meaningful Connections That Last. If you weren’t there, here’s just a smidge of what you missed! Caleb challenged us to reflect on key questions before networking: • Are your values aligned with the people you’re connecting with? • Can you separate the person from their work? • Are you networking just to network, or are you building authentic relationships? He also dropped some gems on improving your networking game: • Start with meaningful questions—ask why you’re connecting. • Add value to every room you enter, and remember, authenticity matters, but only in the right spaces. And a powerful reminder: It’s not about who you know—it’s about who knows you! Think about how people see you and what impression you leave behind. If you missed this one, no worries—join us next month! We meet every 3rd Monday at 10 AM at Matador Tacos & Tapas Bar. Make sure to be there for our next Courageous Conversation Over Coffee. You don’t want to miss these insights and opportunities to grow with your community! ☕💪🏽 See you at the next one! #RiseAndThrive #CommunityConnections #AuthenticNetworking

Today was an amazing day out in the community for our leaders who represented BECC well today! We started with our Rise & Thrive Community Networking event at Matador Tacos & Tapas Bar. Our President, Tiffany Jeffers hosted our community leaders as we had a takeover by Truist Financial Inclusion Leader, Gretchet Rudisel! She gave us the keys to unlocking access to funding for small businesses growth! We really enjoyed her engaging presentation and can’t wait to continue our partnership 🙌🏽 Then our Chairman David M. Walker, Ed.D, M.Div presented at Valencia College! He shared with students of the American National Government Class about the importance of voting in the upcoming election thanks to Dr. Amanda Wilkerson. As most, if not all, of her students will be first-time voters it was important for us to ensure that we were there to spur them on to participate in their civic duties. Dr Walker gave an inspiring talk - “Be A Champion Voter: Your Voice, Your Power.” Then the day ended with President Jeffers putting on her Pastoral hat to represent for our community partner Solid Rock Community Church, Kissimmee, Fl. at the Pastoral Advisory meeting at the Osceola County School District hosted by Superintendent, Dr. Mark Shanoff. There, several spiritual advisors learned more about how they can positively impact the District’s students and families and also learned about the initiatives of the Early Learning Coalition of Osceola County! What a great day of community connection 💪🏽
