Genesis Gives hosted a hands-on STEAM workshop at Rita & Rick Case Club - Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County. Students learned about the product development process, engaged in an advanced technology demo of the Genesis GV60, and built their own unique future mobility vehicles with upcycled materials. Genesis Inspiration Foundation awarded a $50,000 grant to Breakthrough Miami in support of its arts-focused education for 6th-grade Scholars, cultivating art appreciation, visual literacy, critical thinking, creative expression, and leadership development. #Shoutout to Gulliver Prep's National Business Honor Society (NBHS) and Entrepreneurial Outreach (EO) program, for going above and beyond! 🚀 In addition this year to supporting our Scholars at our Gulliver Prep site, they also visited our Miami Country Day School host site to assist our Scholars with their Business Challenge! 💼 Entrepreneurial Outreach, led by a group of Gulliver Prep High School students who have excelled in NFTE and earned national recognition, has been a guiding force throughout our Business Challenge season, helping our Gulliver Preparatory School Scholars win two years in a row. Now, EO is sharing their passion and expertise with our Miami Country Day School Scholars, offering mentorship, support, and the encouragement to dream big and think like entrepreneurs. From Breakthrough Miami Scholar to Breakthrough Miami Board Member, Carlos X. Ramos is proof that Breakthroughs come full circle! 👏 We’re thrilled to welcome Carlos X. Ramos, Corporate Banking Regional Manager at Amerant Bank, and proud Breakthrough Miami Alumni, to our Breakthrough Miami Board of Directors! 🎉 Carlos’ journey started as a young Scholar in Breakthrough Miami - formerly known as Summerbridge, where he later gained access to college exam prep and transformative summer internships. Fast forward to today, he’s a leader in commercial banking, a passionate mentor, and a dedicated community advocate. 💼 With over 18 years of experience in commercial banking, a Magna Cum Laude graduate with a degree in finance from the University of Florida, and deep ties to organizations like Boy Scouts of America and Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, Carlos is ready to pay it forward in an even bigger way. Carlos recently coached our BreakthroughU Scholars during Mock Interview Prep Day, helping the next generation step confidently into their futures. Carlos' story is a testament to the power of opportunity, mentorship, and giving back - and we couldn’t be more excited for his leadership! Breakthroughs in Business! 💼💡 Miami's Opportunity Generator meets Florida's Value Cultivators. 🤝 Congratulations to Breakthrough Miami Alumni, Ana Cecilia González and Emanuel Cartagena, for joining Boyne Capital's Summer 2025 Internship class! During this internship, Ana and Emanuel will focus on deal sourcing and supporting the investment and business development teams. Ana is a sophomore at Princeton University and former Breakthrough Miami Scholar at our Ransom Everglades School host site majoring in Public and International Affairs, and double minoring in French and Finance. Her love for history has fueled her passion for studying global economics. She is excited to join Boyne Capital as an intern and support the team with her skillset. Emanuel, also a former Breakthrough Miami Scholar at Ransom, is an Applied Math/Data Science double major at University of Southern California and is currently studying abroad in Madrid at the Universidad de Carlos III. Emanuel is looking forward to return to his home city and work alongside the Boyne Capital team, and for the hands-on experience he'll receive.
