An exciting day for Trellis! On Wednesday, August 14th, Governor Katie Hobbs hosted a press conference highlighting the exceptional and quickly moving impact the Arizona is Home, housing assistance fund has had across the Valley. Two of Trellis’s own clients, Andre Beiki and Linda Blacks, a retired couple who recently purchased their first home with the down payment assistance program, got a chance to share their story. After spending their whole their lives renting and battling the ever-increasing rental costs, the couple found hope in the services and guidance provided by Trellis, and our partners at FirstBank. Brenda Lopez, Trellis’s passionate leader, had the opportunity to speak about the Arizona is Home initiative and the huge impact it has had on our clients. However, with so much momentum and awareness surrounding this down payment assistance, funds are moving fast. Trellis will continue our dedication to creating first-time homebuyers and building stronger communities, but we need your support now more than ever.
