It gives us great pleasure to announce that the Solution for Insider Threat Hindrance (SITH) has officially been deployed to production and is ready for use by DITMAC (DOD Insider Threat Management Analysis Center) and US Navy personnel. 🎉 This project began in  2021, when Truss began working with the DOD to build a security product that would automate and expedite the detection and tracking of insider threat risks on the Non-Classified Internet Protocol (IP) Router Network (NIPRNet).  The Truss team was tasked with building technology to improve federal processes and solve end-user needs, particularly those of insider threat analysts who previously tracked insider threats using a cumbersome and manual process integrating multiple streams of intelligence. Over the past two years the Truss team has worked closely with agency and contracting partners to develop a case management system that enables a more streamlined process for reporting and analyzing insider threats. Once teams complete the onboarding process, they can now begin managing unclassified cases in SITH.  This is a great win for the program, the DOD, and Truss. This achievement is a testament to our incredible team's dedication and hard work, including our partners at DDS and KPMG. We are grateful for the opportunity to work on this project and take immense pride in what we have accomplished together for the insider threat community. 👏 🎉 #civictech

When Mark Ferlatte, Everett Harper, and Jen Leech founded Truss thirteen years ago, they agreed to create a company with a culture where they would truly want to work. They also agreed that “if we’ve done our job well, the company should be able to operate without any one of us.” By that measure, Truss has been a success. While the organization has had its share of wins and setbacks, Truss has continued to evolve, learn from mistakes, and keep moving to the edge. And so it is through this lens that Truss celebrates and supports Mark Ferlatte in his decision to leave his operational role as CTO of Truss as of November 2023, to pursue other projects. The influence Mark has had in his time as CTO at Truss can not be overstated. He has championed a learning environment that is exceedingly rare for many technologists - one that sees failure as an opportunity for growth and insight and so allows for greater psychological safety and innovation. He has served as a mentor and advisor to numerous Trussels past and present, instilling a human-centric approach to problem solving that has inspired many. While his exuberant love of coffee, f-bombs, and sense of mischief are unquestionably endearing, it is his commitment to his teams throughout the years, the example he has set as a leader working shoulder to shoulder to create a culture of inclusive collaboration that has established a foundation for the exceptional work Truss is known for and we will continue to uphold. Mark will retain a role on the Board of Directors, and so remains very much a part of Truss and its mission: committed to human centered values, truth telling and insightful consulting with clients while doing work that improves the lives of humans. Truss offers our deepest thanks and appreciation to Mark for your influence, your invitation to authenticity and your unwavering support through the years. Cheers to your next adventure!  https://lnkd.in/gA_PVTYW

Yesterday, January 24th, was National Macintosh Computer Day - on this day in 1984, the very first "Mac" as they are lovingly called, was introduced to the consumer market. Did you know that the Macintosh was named after the McIntosh apple variety? The name was changed to Macintosh because McIntosh was already taken. Truss is a Mac company through and through. How about yours?
