⭐ This concept could change how you get unstuck at work ⭐ You need to know about the two types of blockers. Outer blocks are caused by lack of knowledge, resources, or expertise. Inner blocks are caused by limiting beliefs, fears, and doubts that hold you back. We often confuse the two, and try to read or learn our way into doing the right thing, but sometimes we're just looking at the wrong problem and we need to address our inner blocks instead. Read our full article that breaks down the difference, and how you can overcome any of your blocks: https://lnkd.in/gafjDFcx

"My team won't listen to me." 😩 Sometimes as a manager, you can feel like you're talking into the void. Whether this is the reality or imagined, behind the statement are lots of feelings like... 😬 "I feel like an imposter." 😓 "They're going to do whatever they want anyway." 😳 "They're more senior and don't respect me." Whether it's feeling a lack of control or feeling like an imposter, managers have to overcome these challenges to be effective leaders. So how do you address it? That depends on where the problem is rooted in the system. The issue could be the employees having trouble adjusting to a new manager, the manager not communicating effectively (and employees not giving feedback about it), or the organization needing more focus on elevating and supporting diverse leaders so leadership in all its forms are valued. We share tips and manager templates on how to combat these root causes and more in our free 20-page Leader Decoder. Download link in the comments. #management #leadership #startup #coaching

Sometimes managers just can't shake the feeling..."Does my whole team hate me??" 😰 Usually this thought isn't rooted in truth, so where does this inner voice come from? Our inner voices are experts at filling in the gaps in what is not said, and often with negativity. Behind the voice, there's the question of... 😬 "Am I doing a bad job?" 😓 "I have no idea what I'm doing." 😳 "They used to be my peers and this is awkward." So how do you address it? That depends on where the problem is rooted in the system. The issue could be the employees having trouble adjusting to a new manager, the manager not spending enough time in 1:1s building trust and rapport, or the organization not having a feedback culture where managers can get accurate assessments of how they are doing as a manager really. Any of these issues sound familiar? We share tips and manager templates on how to combat these root causes and more in our free 20-page Leader Decoder. New managers often face that feeling of juggling too much at once. That feeling of "I don't have enough time." ⏰ However, usually it's not an issue of too many balls. What's actually happening is... 😓 "I have too many priorities." 😬 "Everyone is busy so no one can help me." 😳 "I'm overwhelmed by how much I have to do." So how do you address it? That depends on where the problem is rooted in the system. The issue could be the employees not being equipped with the skills for what should have been delegated to them already, the manager not being rigorous about "giving away their Legos", or the organization not being clear about its priorities and that spilling onto the plates of each manager and their team. Any of these issues sound familiar? We share tips on how to combat these root causes and more in our free 20-page Leader Decoder.
