He was recognized for his proactive care of subcontractor safety and his commitment to supporting his colleagues, earning him a hit sticker for embodying our Heart for People Core Value. -- Backstory: While fueling, Richard noticed a subcontractor without radio communication, shade, or check-ins for over three hours. Recognizing the potential safety hazard, Richard immediately contacted safety leadership and relayed the situation to ensure this subcontractor's whereabouts were known and they were taken care of. Richard’s commitment to looking out for his fellow employees is evident in his daily interactions. His team says he consistently looks out for his colleagues, always keeping water on hand and checking in with those who may need support. #culture #values #employee #team #mining #safety

If you’ve been following us over the last few years, you probably remember when we announced Employee of the Month on social media with pictures of employees holding supersized checks in the field. While we’re excited to bring back the big checks, we’ve revamped what it actually means to be Employee of the Month at Turner Mining Group. Our new employee of the month program, known as CORE, highlights individual achievements tied to our Core Values, incorporating the use of "hit stickers" to track progress. Similarly to how hit stickers are used in college football programs across the country, our value hit stickers will help identify and celebrate achievements that align with our core values. Our goal with this program is to encourage our field personal through recognition, camaraderie and a sense of healthy competition across our nationwide teams. We'll announce June's CORE Employee of the Month and why he earned that title tomorrow!

NEWS: Turner Mining Group Secures Long-Term Partnership at Mineral Park Mine - We're thrilled to announce a landmark partnership with Origin Mining Company, securing a contract to perform all mining services at the Mineral Park mine located in Kingman, Arizona over the next several years. Our team has been on site since late 2021, successfully mining 25 million tons of copper ore for Origin Mining’s leaching campaign and completing various heavy civil projects, aligning with the ongoing Mill Refurbishment. Tyler Vincent's Safety Reminder of the Month: Height Awareness Every month, our new Director of Safety will share a safety reminder with our team, providing practical tips for everyone to keep in mind as we go about our work. This month's focus is on Height Awareness! - "Many workers across the U.S. face the risk of falling when working at different heights and can be seriously injured or killed. Since 2020, there have been 13 fatalities from slips or falls in the mining industry, and on average, a worker dies every 17 days in the construction industry from a fall-related incident. Despite advances in technology and rescue efforts, falls remain one of the top five fatality categories each year. So why are we still facing so many challenges as an industry, and what can we do at Turner Mining Group to help reinforce safety? We start by encouraging understanding and adherence to safety protocols outlined by MSHA because following the fall protection guidelines can and will save lives.
