🌟 Celebrating Fanto Foday's Journey as a UNDP Kenya AfYWL Fellow! 🌟 UNDP Kenya is proud to celebrate Fanto Foday, who has served as Partnerships Officer under the African Young Women Leaders (AfYWL) Fellowship Programme 2024-2025. Selected as one of only 36 fellows from 12,000 applicants, Fanto is the first Sierra Leonean to join this prestigious programme. With a background in innovation, financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, youth development, and private sector engagement, Fanto holds a B.Sc. in International Relations and Diplomacy and a master’s in international law. Her thought leadership gained international recognition when she secured third place in the AUDA-NEPAD Youth Essay Contest for her insights on Africa’s untapped agricultural potential. At UNDP Kenya, she served as the Partnership Officer and played a key role in resource mobilization, donor engagement, and partnership development, supporting the updating of the Country Office's Partnership and Resource Mobilization Strategy (PCAP) 2022-2026. Her contributions have strengthened engagement with our partners and resource mobilization efforts. Fellows like Oluwatomi Elizabeth Omogbai, Lala Mariam Dabo, Diouma KAMARA, Natacha Tsivery, Ongtouek Baketa Grace Divine, and Mellon Ncube have found strength in a sisterhood that challenges limits, fosters growth, and redefines leadership. These young talented women are not only breaking boundaries but also creating lasting impact in their communities.
