  • Congratulations to Corinda Rainey-Moore, Community Engagement Manager at UnityPoint Health – Meriter, who recently received a 2024 Healthcare Leadership Award from Professional Research Consultants, Inc. (PRC). Corinda received the Health Equity: Community Award for leading multiple initiatives to implement community-driven solutions to produce better health outcomes for Black families. Using insights from Meriter’s Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) data, Corinda's programs address low birth weights, sickle cell disease awareness, and mental health support. PRC’s mission is to amplify the voices of healthcare organizations, patients, and communities, partnering with organizations to improve healthcare for all by becoming better places for patients to be treated, physicians to practice medicine and team members to work. Congratulations, Corinda - thank you for the invaluable work you do to improve health equity in our community.

  • “I've been a Sterile Processing Transporter for almost three years. I love pushing my cart around the hospital and getting to see my coworkers every day.” Austin Boatman's role is crucial to daily operations within our hospital. He was able to find this job and team he loves by connecting with his job coaches, Cole and Veronica, through our proud community partner, Madison Area Rehabilitation Center (MARC) - a support agency for adults with developmental disabilities. This #disabilityemployment Awareness Month, Austin wants people to understand that people with developmental disabilities are just as capable of doing great work in any industry. "We can bring different views of the world to a workplace, are great at problem-solving and can deeply concentrate on tasks," Austin said. #NDEAM U.S. Department of Labor
