From VICE Studios and co-directors Sean Penn and Aaron Kaufman, "Superpower" has been nominated in the Outstanding Politics and Government Documentary category. In this powerful film, Sean Penn heads to Ukraine to learn more about comedic-actor turned president, Volodymyr Zelensky. But when Penn finds himself in an undisclosed bunker of the Presidential Palace on the evening of the Russian invasion, he instead has a front row seat to Zelensky's greatest challenge as a world leader. "Encounters," a landmark four-part series that travels the globe to explore four extraordinary true stories of encounters with otherworldly phenomena, has been nominated in the Outstanding Science and Technology Documentary category. Produced in partnership with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment and Boardwalk Pictures, the series highlights the profoundly human impact of these encounters on lives, families, and communities.
