Check out this drone footage of one of the renewable energy projects Wendel is working on. Wendel and the developer are collaborating with the Town of Volney, NY to add more clean power to the infrastructure grid and help meet the NYS Clean Energy Goals. We are proud to have seen this site go from concept to design and permitting, and ultimately into construction. It’s almost time to get connected to the grid! #WendelRenewableEnergy 📸: Drone footage provided by AMS Renewable Energy

We would like to welcome Bob Barteck to the Wendel team! Bob will serve as a Construction Administrator for Master Builder® with a specific focus on emergency services construction projects. Robert Krzyzanowski, Director of Emergency Services, stated “Bringing Bob onto our team is a natural fit for our culture and our clients. His experience as a fire chief, as well as in construction, expands our knowledge base. It truly compliments the one-stop shop mentality for our clients that are looking for one team to design and construct their facilities.” Welcome Bob! Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/e8cMgJ9h

If UB alumnus Ann E. Casey, AIA, LEED AP (MArch/MBA ’14) knows anything about life as an architect – especially at the management level – it’s that it is one big balancing act. Recently named to the “40 Under 40” list by Buffalo Business First, Ann is project architect, resource manager, and Northwest market leader for WENDEL Companies—an architecture and engineering firm here in Buffalo, NY. One of her recent high-profile assignments included the transformation of the Buffalo AKG Art Museum, where she served as the local representative for the project’s New York City-based architect-of-record, Cooper Robertson. Reflecting on balancing the art and business of architecture, Ann says “UB was an immediate draw. There are very few MArch/MBA programs available. And the tuition at UB was affordable,” she said. “Not only did I learn how to design, but I learned how to communicate those design decisions.” Learn more: https://lnkd.in/esfnVyUV #UBuffalo #UBuffaloArchPlan

Several administrative teams in Orleans County, NY, were spread across different physical spaces, some of which were no longer sufficient for their needs. Our team worked with the county to design a civic structure that would consolidate these departments while upholding the principles and sensibilities of the population of Orleans County. We provided architectural, engineering, energy efficiency, and construction management services for the 23,000-square-foot addition to the primary administration building. Learn more about this project on our website. #PortfolioDay #ThisIsWendel
