    Earlier this week, we released our Q2 2024 Earnings Report. Here are some highlights: 📈 Q2 Revenue: + 39.9% YoY to $2.00M  📊 Q2 Gross Margin: 1.82x improvement to 36.0% (up from 19.7%) 💡 Key Wins: Expanded partnership with D-Wave, new collaboration with Tech Mahindra, and published key research from Phase II of Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)’s Quantum Benchmarking program. We also welcomed new leaders Sumit Kapur (CFO) and Derron Blakely (General Counsel) to the team. 🔍 Looking Ahead: Also earlier this week, we announced a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement with the U.S. Department of Defense’s U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM ) to collaborate on real-time intelligence projects.     🚀 Zapata AI Enters Cooperative Research and Development Agreement with US Special Operations Command to Deliver Real-time Intelligence for Warfighters 🇺🇸 We're excited to announce our Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) to deliver real-time, AI-driven intelligence for warfighters. (See Comments for link). In high-stakes environments where decisions can mean the difference between mission success and failure, USSOCOM operators face immense challenges. This collaboration aims to provide them with state-of-the-art AI support to enhance situational awareness and decision-making capabilities in contested spaces. Key aspects of the partnership include: ✅ Developing AI/ML applications for USSOCOM's Hyper-Enabled Force (HEF) initiative;    ✅  Deploying ensembles of small, specialized AI models at the edge;    ✅  Operating on ruggedized high-performance computing hardware in low-connectivity environments;    ✅  Using Orquestra®, our AI lifecycle management software, to accelerate the Model Development Lifecycle (MDLC) This collaboration builds on our track record in quantum computing and AI, including our unique position as the only company participating across all tracks of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Quantum Benchmarking program. Trouble is, massively complex models like these — with tens millions of inputs —require significant manual effort and endless compute cycles to produce even approximate results. We changed all that. https://lnkd.in/exSkxESA Zapata AI has years of experience in wringing efficiencies from computationally complex enterprise problems like this one. Our solutions engineers modernized the model’s code to run on parallelized GPUs instead of the original CPUs, collapsing the compute time.     LLMs are powerful, but they can't do everything.    When it comes to generative AI, it's not about having one model for every task. Rather, the real value is in having ensembles of smaller, more efficient models dedicated to specific tasks.    This is particularly true for business use cases involving time-series data — or anything other than text data.    Sure, LLMs are great for creating content, but would you trust them to predict demand spikes? Design new drug candidates? Optimize a distribution network? Each of these uses would be better served by a smaller, dedicated AI model trained on data relevant to the task at hand. An ensemble of small models delivers more value than the sum of its parts, creating a flywheel of value creation in the enterprise. Smaller models = - Better performance on specialized tasks - Lower costs and energy consumption - Less demand for compute — enabling intelligence closer to the edge without needing constant access to GPUs on the cloud.
