As part of the Adelante Mujeres Development Team, the Grants Officer champions the health of the organization and the needs of our employees. This role will work as a grant writer, administrator, reporter, and researcher. The Grants Officer role is designed to help Adelante Mujeres strengthen our funder base and grow our team's financial capacity. The ideal candidate is some who has excellent writing abilities, adept organizational skills at a high level, and a background in extensive research and financial reporting. This position works alongside another Grants Officer, collaborates with internal departments and external partners, and is a crucial part of the Grants and Development teams. The Grants Officer reports to the Grants Manager.

Qualifications

- A passionate commitment to the goals and mission of Adelante Mujeres and support for immigrant and BIPOC communities
- Minimum of 1 year of grants writing/management and/or post-award reporting, ideally in nonprofits
- Experience with financial reporting and research
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in English, Foreign Language or strongly related field or relevant experience accepted
- Excellent written communications, especially adept at developing and pitching persuasive grant proposals
- High degree of initiative and strategic problem solving
- Experience in Salesforce or other CRM
- Bilingual in Spanish & English preferred
- Committed to education, social justice, women's empowerment, immigrant and environmental justice
- COVID-19 vaccine and booster required except for religious or medical accommodation
- Complete Criminal Background Check
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to travel out of town to attend workshops or trainings
- Salary range: $59,000-$63,000 per year, depending on qualifications
- Classification: Full-time, exempt
- Telework: In-person presence required based on program needs and mandatory meetings including all staff meetings and annual retreats. 80% of time spent working remotely.
- Benefits: health, vision, dental, short-term and long-term disability, 401K pension plan, life insurance, EAP, professional development opportunities, paid leave of absence, paid holidays (12.5 days annually), sick days (9 days annually), paid closure during Christmas and New Year holidays, vacation per year (20 days years one through five, 25 days after five years), and sabbatical (1 month at 10 years of employment).
