Founded in 2002, Operation Homefront is a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military families so they can thrive, not simply struggle to get by, in the communities they have worked so hard to protect. Operation Homefront is sourcing candidates for a Manager, Individual Giving position located in the Western United States in Operation Homefront’s Regions 1 or 6 (NM, AZ, CA, NV, HI, WA, OR, ID, MT, WY, CO, UT).
The Manager, Individual Giving is responsible for developing strategies for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individual donors in the Western portion of the United States. Special focus is on securing five-figure gifts to support Operation Homefront’s programs and $100M Comprehensive Campaign. This position has direct impact on the organization’s reputation among Individual Donors, Foundation & Corporate sponsors, as well as impacting the financial and operational performance of the department.
Desired candidates will have:
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred
Experience securing and conducting significant donor interactions, particularly personal face-to-face visits, on a regular basis to qualify, engage, solicit, and steward major donors and prospects
Demonstrated experience, success, and progressive responsibility in major gift fundraisingwith a minimum of five to seven years of experience
Ability to set goals and oversee their execution
Experience motivating and managing high-profile volunteer leadership and senior executives
Valid driver’s license
Acceptable MVR (annual)
Criminal background check
Proficiency in database management, Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Every Action & WealthEngine a plus

Primary job duties include:
Manage a portfolio of 125 individual donors and prospects with the capacity to give $50K+, building donor relationships and achieving all assigned goals. Actively participate in each step of donor relationship building including identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and recognition. Tier caseload and manage the caseload pipeline.
Develop individual donor strategies, along with materials, to renew and upgrade donor gifts. Maintain accurate donor records by documenting all donor contact on a timely basis within the donor database.
Directly support Senior Executive Team and Campaign Committee volunteers to prospect, prepare for meetings, and steward high net worth donors within the assigned region.
Collaborate with the Regional Field Team, as well as the Marketing, Communications, and Corporate & Foundations Development Teams to enhance internal & donor relationships, creating greater fundraising and outreach possibilities.
Complete all paperwork and processes associated with major gift & campaign gifts and pledges.
Perform other duties as assigned

Abilityto adapt quickly to unexpected changes,deadlines, or organizational needs. Ability to drive a motor vehicleand travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events. May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
