Just another rant about how messed up Meta's algorithm is these days. Like, what's the point of social media for artists anymore? Just cancelled my Meta subscription because, well, it just wasn't doing anything for me. Funnily enough, saw that Luis Mendo did the same! Seems even big-name artists with tons of followers feel the same frustration. Remember when social media was this amazing way to get your art seen? Now it's all about who has the most followers, and forget about anyone new actually finding your stuff. Everyone's talking about the end of the "followers" era, and this video by the Patreon founder has some ideas https://bit.ly/3JziXpt. But it feels like that's only helpful if you're already a big shot. So, the real question is: what can us regular artists do to get our work out there in the first place? Once upon a time, in a land far far away (the vast expanse of the digital realm), isolated voices clamoured for attention, lost amidst the noise and unsure of how to be seen and heard. When they began to harmonise, a symphony emerged.  This, dear pretties, is the power of a unified audience.  It's not about sheer numbers, although numbers do obviously help; it's about cohesion, about individual voices coming together to create something larger than just one.  Just like a jigsaw puzzle, every piece has a role, and when aligned just right, a beautiful picture is formed, one that others can enjoy despite never truly understanding the painstaking hours it took to collectively build.  In my journey at Beyond the Dawn, you've shown me that together, our collective voice isn't just louder—it's more meaningful. It's deeper, it goes farther and it changes people's lives for the better.  Now there are days when you come to me and say it might be time to pack it in. When you are not making impact enough to make it worth it. Perhaps your energy is low, or you are in the weeds of struggle again. Forgetting the richness that comes with each lesson learned and forgetting that you are a vital piece of the jigsaw too. Maybe today you didn't move a mountain by yourself, maybe you leaned your weight towards us so we can one day move it together. That's enough. You are enough.
