We are committed to addressing climate change proactively across our operations and our value chain. Some areas of focus for emissions reduction include:  1) A long-term solar agreement that will cover over 50% of our energy needs in North America  2) By 2030, we aim to decrease emissions by 25% in our top three Scope 3 categories, emissions from activities outside of our direct operations.  3) Our Supply Chain Operation (SCO) has been taking new actions on our goals to reduce emissions from suppliers, logistics partners, and manufacturers.   4) Reductions in our plastic packaging usage with annual and mid-term plastic reduction goals to measure our progress such as an 80% reduction in the use of virgin plastic by 2025 (from 2022 baseline).

Last friday marked the end of back-to-back conferences with The Climate Reality Project in Rome and the NBM International Conference on New Business Models in San Sebastián. It has been a huge pleasure to participate in these events and meet extraordinary, passionate people trying to contribute to a just/green transition. While the evidence of the polycrisis and the urgency to act is crisp and clear, the means and the sacrifices for a transition towards sustainable models are still insufficient. Whether top-down or bottom-up, our society and planet desperately need a coordinated, collective efforts in order to solve our most pressing challenges, meeting the needs of people while thriving in balance with the earth planet.
