Study of the Flight Characteristics of the Aero AT-3 Aircraft ✈️ As part of my recent research project, I had the opportunity to conduct a series of critical flight tests to gather data for my thesis. The uploaded video captures one of those moments, showcasing the Aero-AT3 in action against the stunning backdrop of open skies. Taking on the captain's seat was a unique challenge that required me to seamlessly integrate dual roles as both pilot and researcher. This responsibility ensured precise flight maneuvers while collecting high-quality data crucial to the study. These flight tests were essential in analyzing the polar performance curve, exploring its characteristics to validate real-world performance, enhance flight efficiency during students' flights, and assess aircraft stability during stalls. I would like to extend a special thanks to the amazing team at Aeroklub Warszawski, especially Sebastian Dylicki, cameraman Sebastian Rudnicki for their unwavering support and collaboration in bringing this project to life. Soon, the full content of my research paper titled "Wpływ wingletów na charakterystyki samolotu Aero-AT3: badanie opływu skrzydła" ("The effect of winglets on the characteristics of the Aero-AT3 aircraft: wing flow analysis" will be published! #AviationResearch #FlightTesting #AeroAT3 #AircraftStability #AviationInnovation #AeroklubWarszawski #ResearchProject #WarsawUniversityofTechnology #PolarPerformanceCurve

Understanding and utilising the aerodynamics better ! Producing more lift forces than drag forces !
Lecture 1: Sir George Cayley: The Father of Modern Aviation Born in 1773, Sir George Cayley laid the foundation for the science of flight. His pioneering research on aerodynamics revolutionized our understanding of heavier-than-air flight. Here are some of his groundbreaking contributions : 1. Identified the fundamental principles of flight. 2. Discovered that curved surfaces generate more lift than flat ones. 3. Highlighted the importance of streamlining for efficient flight. 4. Designed and flew the first successful manned glider. Cayley's innovative approach, marked by rigorous scientific methods and detailed documentation, forever changed the trajectory of aviation. From vision to reality — Cayley's legacy takes flight! Stay tuned for more insights into the fascinating world of aeronautics. https://lnkd.in/e657PTYd #space #aerospace #astronautics #astronautics4xploit Over many years, aerospace, one of the major contributors to the global economy, has been helping humans to push exploration boundaries and to explore the universe using state-of-the-art technologies developed by human ingenuity and bravery. Through the application of science and engineering principles, aerospace has enabled humans to design and develop aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, rovers, landers, and a host of others. Early ideas and innovations in aerospace are credited to aerospace pioneers such as George Cayley, Jules Henri Giffard, Charles Renard, Arthur Constantin Krebs, Ferdinand von Zeppelin, the Wright Brothers, and a host of others. In 1799, George Cayley proposed an aircraft with a “fixed wing and a horizontal and vertical tail”. In 1852, Henri Giffard flew the first steerable steam-powered airship, and in December 1903, the Wright brothers performed the first sustained, controlled flight of a powered, heavier-than-air aircraft, lasting 12 seconds. Since then a lot of aerospace inventions and innovations have been developed for the betterment of humanity. Various aerospace technologies developed have been applied for human use on the Earth. A4X Aerospace Objectives: • To disseminate aerospace ideas in such a way that it will be well understood by all and sundry • To equip space enthusiasts with the right tool that will help them to better understand the reasons why space exploration is being invested into • To prepare students for aerospace professional practices • To enable students to be able to solve complex problems • To develop aerospace practitioners' project management capability • To offer aerospace consultancy services to corporate organizations

After a first flight in May another 26 flights were flown at Aeroporti di Puglia in Grottaglie (Italy), with our scaled version of a large passenger aircraft with distributed electric propulsion. 📽 ✈ The dynamics of the aircraft was measured and two control algorithms using asymmetric thrust were tested. Part of the manoeuvres were flown with the remote human pilot in the ground station controlling the aircraft with control surfaces and through differential thrust (meaning the motors on the left and the right side have different rotation speed). We learned a lot about the technology! The project contributes to the objective of the Clean Sky 2 programme of the European Commission in which Airbus, ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab, CIRA - Italian Aerospace Research Centre, TU Delft | Aerospace Engineering, Orange Aerospace.-, and NLR collaborate. #scaledflightdemonstrator #SFD #innovation #aerospace

India's space race is heating up, and I'm here for it! 🚀 Skyroot Aerospace is making serious strides in the private space industry with their innovative Vikram-1 rocket. This four-stage launch vehicle is designed for affordable and reliable launches – a huge win for small satellites! It's capable of placing an impressive 400 kg of payload into low-Earth orbit. Let's break down Vikram-1's stages: Stage 1: Kalam-1200 The powerhouse of the rocket, this solid fuel motor provides the initial thrust to overcome gravity. Stage 2: Kalam-250 Another solid fuel motor, designed for a sustained burn to carry the payload through the denser atmosphere. Stage 3: Kalam-100 This solid fuel motor gives the rocket an extra boost for reaching higher altitudes. Upper Stage: Raman Engine This liquid-fuel engine (MMH and NTO fuels) delivers pinpoint accuracy for precise orbital maneuvers and payload placement. And how about those 3D-printed rocket engines? 🤩 Skyroot is pushing boundaries with efficient manufacturing and design flexibility. Skyroot Aerospace is a major player in the future of India's space ambitions. I can't wait to see what they do next! #SkyrootAerospace #Vikram1 #SpaceTech #IndiaInSpace #Innovation #VikramS #Raman2 For learning more about Vikram 1: https://lnkd.in/e4y5WpEi
