Continuing the conversation about staff networks and allyship… wearing your rainbow lanyard is more than a fashion statement (it is much prettier than the boring plain ones too)! 🌈 They actually are a visible signal to your colleagues and a powerful gesture that you are an ally. It also is important for organisations to offer rainbow lanyards to show and demonstrate they are inclusive employers. The rainbow lanyard demonstrates you are a colleague who is open and safe for LGBTQ+ colleagues. Who is an ally and showing visible support towards this. It’s giving permission for colleagues to be themselves with you. It can also demonstrate an understanding of hardship for the community and that you are willing to make a stand with and for them. It might seem like a small gesture but it makes a huge difference. Wear your rainbow lanyards with PRIDE 🌈 #rainbowlanyard #diversity #inclusion #lgbtqia #lgbt #staffnetworks

Given its Pride month in many jurisdictions, I was delighted to once again be asked to write for theHRDIRECTOR, this time on practical steps organisations can take to support their LGBTQ+ communities. I was even more delighted to be able to ask Chris Salusbury, who led our relevant ERG at GBG to co-write with me. Read the full article through the link (p.46-47), but in summary; - be data driven in your planning and communication - work with those affected to define how you can help - ensure Allies (esp. Executives) shoulder responsibility, and not expect their LGBTQ+ team mates to own it, or have the energy to beat the drum alone - take reasonable steps which are impactful enough, but can form a 365 commitment and not a once a year activity For this and other LGBTQ focussed content, see https://lnkd.in/eG5ZiD5N For my full interview on, amongst other things, the importance of focus on D&I, see the August 2023 edition. #LGBTQ #pride #ERGs #diversity #DEI

🌈 Celebrating Pride Month: A Personal Reflection 🌈 As we step into Pride Month, I find myself reflecting on what this time means to me—not just as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, but as someone who values diversity, acceptance, and love in all areas of life. June is Pride month. Commemorating the Stonewall riots, Pride Month is an inclusive celebration that honours our community, our history, achievements, and ongoing struggle for equality. I often come across posts across various social media platforms from people making statements such as "When is straight month?", "Why should they get an entire month to throw it down our throats?" or "It's disgusting and inhuman". It's these very comments that show why we still need to keep fighting for equality. This serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of acceptance, diversity, and love. It brings together individuals, organisations, and communities to advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights and celebrate the progress made towards a more inclusive society. Lead with kindness, Love is Love. Happy Pride Month! 🏳️🌈 #PrideMonth #LGBTQ #Diversity #Inclusion #LoveIsLove #Authenticity #Community #ExpressYourTrueColors#PrideMonth #LGBTQ #Diversity #Inclusion #Equality #Pride2024

Attention, All Stay fans! While we love a good rainbow, we're not about that rainbow washing life. 🌈💸 Now that Pride month has come and gone, let's talk about that whole "rainbow washing" thing - you know, when companies slap a rainbow on their logo for a few weeks but don't actually do anything to support LGBTQ+ people and issues the rest of the year. We've gotta call that out and push for real, authentic allyship, not just temporary rainbow-themed marketing. Instead of another rainbow logo, how about chatting with us about an interactive training session on inclusive language and allyship? 🏳️🌈 Or what if we help you find the best strategy for an inclusive marketing approach? That way, you're not just shooting in the dark at the so-called ‘pink Dollar’ - you're making a tangible difference. The key is moving beyond surface-level representation to driving meaningful change. Who's ready to get creative and make a real impact? Drop your ideas in the comments below! 👇 #lgbtq #inclusivity #corporates #lgbtqbusiness

🌈Celebrating Pride Month with a Commitment to Inclusivity and Equity As we celebrate Pride Month, it's crucial to recognize and uplift the diverse voices within the LGBTQ+ community. This month is a time of joy, reflection, and solidarity. It’s a celebration of love, identity, and the strides we’ve made towards equality. Yet, we must also acknowledge the challenges that persist for many within our community, particularly those whose voices are often marginalized. For countless individuals, the ability to live authentically remains a distant dream. The fear of persecution, violence, and discrimination continues to force many to hide their true selves. As we celebrate the vibrant spectrum of identities, let us not forget those who cannot join us openly due to systemic oppression and societal prejudices. Our commitment to inclusivity means standing in solidarity with our trans siblings, queer people of color, and those facing intersectional challenges. It means amplifying their voices, advocating for their rights, and creating safe spaces where every individual can thrive. Together, we can foster a world where everyone, regardless of their identity, feels seen, heard, and valued. This Pride Month, let’s celebrate with purpose. Let’s educate, advocate, and support each other in our journeys. By doing so, we honor the spirit of Pride and pave the way for a more inclusive and equitable future. #PrideMonth #LGBTQ #InclusivePride #AmplifyVoices #EqualityForAll #LoveIsLove 🌈🌈🌈🌈

What Does the “+” in LGBTQ+ Really Stand For? It’s More Than a Symbol. The “+” in LGBTQ+ is a powerful reminder that our community is incredibly diverse and goes beyond the letters L, G, B, T, and Q. It represents the countless identities and experiences that are often marginalized or left out of mainstream conversations. This includes intersex, asexual, aromantic, non-binary, pansexual, genderqueer, and so many more. In a world where identities are constantly evolving and expanding, the “+” ensures we remain inclusive and open-minded. It's a symbol of respect for everyone who doesn’t neatly fit into the categories that society has historically recognized. By acknowledging the “+”, we affirm that every person has a place in our community, regardless of how they identify or whom they love. Let’s continue to educate ourselves and others about the richness of our community and make sure that the “+” is never just an afterthought but a central part of our advocacy and allyship. Join us in embracing the “+” and recognizing its significance in fostering a truly inclusive world. #LGBTQPlus #Inclusion #Diversity #Pride #MistLGBTQ

Pride Month is a global celebration of LGBTQ+ populations' freedom of expression, identity, human rights, and community observed in various areas of the world in June. To everyone celebrating, happy Pride Month! As we elevate and highlight the LBGTQ+ community, its challenges, and voices throughout the month and the months to come, we join you in your celebrations. Though Pride events are held all year and all over the world, June is a time for us at Evolve to honour the LGBTQ+ community. A worldwide poll conducted in ten countries, including 1,964 LGBT professionals and 10,242 non-LGBT professionals, revealed: 🏆🌈 72% of people would be more inclined to take a job at an organisation that promotes LGBT employees' equal opportunity. 🏆🌈 82% of respondents who identified as allies and 71% of LGBT people said they are more inclined to buy a good or service from an equality-minded business. Above all, though, is that diverse teams are more successful financially and solve problems more quickly. #LGBT #LGBTQ #LGBTQI #LGBTQIA #Pride #Pridemonth
