Ready to elevate and modernize bleeding management in Canada? We are excited to announce that the Bleeding Management Masterclass (BMM) is returning on October 1st. Every step we take is driven by our commitment to improving #patientoutcomes. At Octapharma Canada, how do we modernize bleeding management? In September 2023, we partnered with University Health Network to host the first-ever Bleeding Management Masterclass (BMM), uniting Canadian experts to discuss best practices and research gaps in the field. This year, all invitations have been sent for the return of BMM on October 1st, building on the success and learnings from the previous event. The event will focus on the practical aspects of bleed management and will be led exclusively by Canadian faculty. The purpose of BMM is to ensure that patients receive the best possible care, minimizing complications and enhancing recovery. By advancing our knowledge and practices, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families. Let's continue to lead the way in modernizing bleeding management in Canada. Together, we can make a lasting impact on #patientcare. → Watch the 2023 trailer below: https://lnkd.in/gy8YQauj #bleedingmanagement #healthcare #traumacare #BMM #canadianhealthcare #healthcareinnovation Canadian Society for Transfusion Medicine Ontario Regional Blood Coordinating Network Canadian Anesthesiologists' Society

📢 coming to you live(ish) from #himss24. Today, first CMS’ listening session on LTPAC (Long Term Post Acute Care). 🫡 Liz Palena Hall & Johanna Henry (ONC) did a wonderful job discussing interoperability. 🇺🇸 the benefits of TEFCA continues: specifically ONC’s overall policy —> RCE—>QHINS. IYKYK 😇 💰 Incentives were discussed on how to make the market and the ecosystem of all those involved to move towards closing the ever increasing gap between providers and patients. 🇺🇸 Success stories were shared about how local HIEs and QHINs were making impacts. Cudos to Arkansas for sending 12million messages a month! 🇺🇸 Reducing burdens to comply with regulations is still the mission. 🧩 Social Determinants of Health is still a critical part of the solution puzzle. ✊🏽Those most vulnerable among us cannot afford to wait. The great news is that Abt Global stands with CMS and ONC ready to help address this pressing challenge. #cms #onc #hhs #himss24 #federalcontracting #federalgovernment #healthcare #interoperability

📢Important Update for General Practices! The The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) has announced a vital update to the RACGP Standards for general practices (5th edition). The updated standard, GP2.2►E, now includes revised guidelines for managing high-risk results identified outside of normal operating hours. Key changes include that you must: • have a documented policy that outlines the process for your practice’s management for high-risk results identified outside of normal opening hours • give diagnostic services the contact details of the practitioner who ordered the investigation or a delegated practitioner or after-hours service. This change aims to ensure patients are promptly informed of critical results at any time while considering the logistical challenges faced by GPs.
