Today was my first time attending CHEFTREFF Gipfel in Hamburg, the largest event for talent, young leaders, and start-ups. 2 moments stay in my mind. Moment 1. The first stand I stumbled across belonged to Beiersdorf, leader company in #skincare. (You might be using their Nivea anti-aging creams.) Instinctively, my first remark was, "let's talk about your partnership with Rubedo Life Sciences!", which filled my mind and LinkedIn feed for 4 days now. Unfortunately, none of the representatives heard about the strategic partnership, and the term #longevity only vaguely rang a bell. How long until this stops being the case? Is there a parallel universe in which I have to explain what anti-aging creams are, instead of what senotherapeutics are? Moment 2. In a small room called the Impact Forum, a fusion company COO structured his pitch around encouragements, rather than strict numbers and proofs. "Work on exciting problems that can change the way we live! Be at the cusp of innovation! So -- join us to work on #fusion, and other such fields!" Do the spaces of longevity and fusion overlap here, seeking #funding and #talent and motivated auditoriums? *** Last but not least, many thanks to the amazing baby vc team!
